This place is incredible!! We googled BBQ places because we wanted to find a local mom/pop shop and not a chain. SO glad our search brought us here! We ordered family pack 1 and chicken wings to-go. The inside of the store was charming and inviting. The BBQ sauce is out of this world amazing. The beef brisket is perfection. The chicken wings are moist and well cooked. The potato salad is unique.. it was a surprise that it was basically baked mashed potatoes, but filled with surprise goodness and tang. The Mac ‘n’ cheese topped many other restaurants. The cornbread was equally delicious. Price is fair and reasonable with amount of food. Can’t rave about this incredible place and give it enough stars!! We will be back. :)
Had lunch here today. Food was amazing!!! I even took some home for dinner. I love supporting small businesses and if you have tried Kinfolk BBQ , you are missing out!!! No more Nashville bbq for me!!!
Sampler was divine. Collard greens perfectly seasoned. Go! Family and staff are angels. A true treat!
Tried it for the first time ever last week and it was delicious. The serving sizes were more than I expected but when you have a family of seven to feed it's perfect. The lady that took my order over the phone was sweet as could be and the lady at the counter when I picked it up was nice. Very friendly, all smiles, quick service and amazing food. I will be eating there again.
It was okay. The collar greens were too salty and the white beans were bland. The white fish was the best. It was my first and last time I will eat there. My friend who brought me kept apologizing for the service and the taste of the food. She has eating there plenty of times. She stated it was not her best experience either.
Sausage and ribs were delicious, coleslaw was good. However the brisket, Chicken, pork and the pork chop where very dry couldn’t eat the pork chop at all it was very hard and dry.
We called toward the end of the night and placed an order. They stayed open until we could get there. The food was excellent and we appreciated the hospitality. Stop by and get some.
Pretty good, clean and quaint place.Our family shared the sampler platter - the shredded chicken was hard and cold (kids wouldn't touch it), the sausage was flavorful and juicy, the ribs, smoked wings, pulled pork were good, the pork chop was good too just a bit salty.The cornbread cakes (look like pancakes were sooooooo good, possibly my favorite menu item)The loaded potato (plain) was good but disappointed it was served just above lukewarm.The Mac n cheese was very good and creamy.The greens were delicious with the vinegar.The baked beans resembled the taste of canned pork and beans - that sweet flavor.The green beans were overly salted and they use the flat variety which have a different flavor than traditional round ones - least favorite item.Didn't have room for dessert but they looked homemade and decent.Overall good and would come back if in area.
Best BBQ in Middle TN hands down. Could compete with the likes of Tom’s and the other Memphis greats. Stop thinking and try it. It’s all great… and go with the hot bbq sauce!
first time visiting I got the sampler and ribeye got home the meat was dry over cooked steak was tough collards was nothing like I ever tasted...I honesty can tell it was left overs nothing was fresh and the cornbread was dry also
