get the chicken and dumplings, absolutely the best. Sunday chicken dinner is great also.
Food was great but the service that I received on my to go order was terrible. I placed my order at 3:30 pm & I was told my order would be ready in 25 to 30 minutes. I arrived & paid for my order at 3:54. After asking about my food twice, I finally got my order at 4:30.
In town visiting on a Saturday night. Everywhere was jam packed. Tried three places with long waits. All three places looked unkept and dirty.Cracker barrel comes in the clutch with little more than a five minute wait. Good service and food. Old reliable. Also the restaurant was very clean
A simple look at the menu for all Cracker Barrels reveals the are catering to a older client tell. They seem to be very aware of this with their menu. Quality and quality has been on a decline for years. Given that focus you can probably expect more of the same. However there self awareness does not extend to the Country Store front. Items for sale are age appropriate. Some like cast iron cookware are good for any adult. However the design is super cramp and crowed. This is unavailable and makes handicap access a nightmare. While just trying to make room for other customers cramped in the same store you can become stuck unable to turn around or backup without becoming entangled. Navigate is difficult even for smaller transfer tables.Old style tables have large wooden legs making wheelchair access hard. Catering to an older clientele makes this perplexing. The first impression to the store will be 'Wow that's a lot of handicap spaces. But inside you will see more mobile handicap not needing accessories. This must be loosing all franchise stores lots of money as the seem determined to focus on elderly citizens.On the upside look up whenever in a franchise store. You will be surprised by what hangs above your head. I find this as my favorite hidden jem. (Warning not for the faint of heart).
We had a short 20 minute wait which we used to explore the store. Our waiter was patient to let us take time to check out the menu. In the meantime, he brought our drinks. He was reasonably attentive considering the crowd. Our meal was hot and tasty. Very good experience up to the chain reputation. No bad things to say but nothing over and above either.
Not sure what is going on here lately.Service was slow people at the front seemed more concerned with other things than helping customers.Slow, long wait.
Love the cracker barrel! The loaded hash brown breakfast bowl is so good. While I'm waiting for my food I always do a little shopping for my new granddaughter that will be due in July. I have found the cutest clothes and shoes not to mention the little doll. Crack barrel yes yes yes!!!!!
We were seated fast. But then waited 15 min for a server to come get our drink order. He took our entire order and disappeared for 30 min till our food came out. We could not get drink refills. We told the Manger at the cash register about the problems we had. Her solution was to offer us drink to go. I will never go back.

I could tell my server was new however she did a great job. I normally get the fried catfish and the pancakes(so good) but I need for them to get regular hot sauce. Tabasco sauce does not taste good. It’s just hot. MY SUGGESTION Crystals hot sauce or Louisiana hot sauce to replace the Tabasco sauce. Your customers will love it
