Gave it 5 stars a year ago. Things have totally changed. Trust the locals reviews: theyre all similar. I always go at night omw home from work... Bc I loved this place so much I kept going for a while even as my friends stopped going bc of cold old food & rude ppl ... butThe last 5 out of 5 times (literally) the food was cold. I've always gotten the same order and it gets worse and worse. The "carmelized onions" have gotten flat out disgusting and def not carmelized not fresh. Slimy. The food is consistently cold. The portions and care they put into putting the food together is sad. I live paycheck to paycheck and when I spend money on fast food its very well thought out. And they give you half portions of cold food thrown together by rude young men. One woman IS the friendliest and she barely says a word. Here's the LARGE fries I got for my son with the last bit of my money this week. Thanks a lot. This place is in desperate need of some integrity.
We hadn't been to this location since before COVID started. When we walked in, we were immediately disappointed. Table service had been changed to counter service, but which is understandable due to staffing shortages. Table service used to be a pinnacle of going here and added a personal touch. Next, the menu had been trimmed down a LOT. Before, there was a larger variety of burgers and fry seasonings. Now, there are maybe 4-6 different burger styles and no fry seasonings. Two of the drink flavors were out at the drink machine. The fries were underwhelming and not seasoned at all. I had to go to 2 tables for bottles of ketchup, both of which were empty. So, I gave up trying to find ketchup. My wife's cheese fries looked unappetizing and appeared to be topped with low quality cheese, like what is used at concession stands. The inside of the restaurant definitely needed some work and some deep cleaning. The card they gave us so they could find our table was gross and needed replacement desperately. All in all, we were fairly disappointed and will probably not be returning to this location. The burgers were alright, and both the burger and fries were warm.
I love Steak and Shake food, but the service was lacking last time we went. They no longer have servers, I assume due to staffing shortages in the area. Now you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. We wanted some fry seasoning, and the young lady said it would be $.50 which was fine. But instead of her offering to get us some I had to go back in line, which I abandoned because the food would be cold by the time I got back. This is another situation where removing tipped employees has reduced the quality of service to the customer. But it's really good junk food so I've gotta give them a 4/5.
Great location! I ordered the Frisco steak sandwich and it was pretty good. The fries were awesome as was the milkshake but the sandwich was just missing a little extra pizazz, it was still very good tho!
It was good food...the way u order had changed. Got a little aggravated due to one person telling me I can order a milkshake with part strawberry and part chocolate, then another person said I couldn't do that. I've done it b4. So I just said forget it and left without milkshake. Staff didn't seem happy to have customers.
Don’t eat here. I was in Sevierville on January 17, 2022. I paid with a $100 dollar bill. My bill was $19 dollars and change. They gave me 4 $20 bills and some change. When I got to my hotel I realized The change they gave me was copy money (counterfeit). I filed a police report and took the report to Steak and Shake and spoke to the owner, Tanner Smith. He gave me his personal cell assured me that he would file this incident with his corporate office, and I would receive a check from them. He has now stopped answering his phone and I spoke with someone yesterday and learned they are not returning my money.
Very little chicken options. I ordered the same hamburger for my boys and one was totally hooked up with all the extras. The other was skimpy. The french fries were more like shoestring potatoes and three catchup bottle was farting it was so empty... The shakes were good.
The food at this store was good and the guy taking my order was nice. Im giving three stars because I asked for an extra thin milk shake and thee employ said sure I will put extra milk. I instead got an extra thick milk shake that I wasn't able to drink because it needed a spoon. The rest of the food was good. It seems like this store is more expensive than a lot of others that I've had.
We are big fans of Steak 'n Shake. This one was a big disappointment. No table service. Order at the counter. They give you a number. You sit down, they bring it to you. The food was awful. Should have went to McDonalds or Burger King.
The food was terrible. Had the garlic burger it was terrible. The cheese and chili fries tasted like nothing resembling cheese, the chili was gross and the fries were cold. The unsweetened tea had no flavor. Don’t eat here.
