Our meal at Ristorante DellaSantina was an excellent finish to our Gatlinburg visit. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server was helpful and pleasant, and she took good care of us. My wife ordered a soup, which we split, and a salad, so that she could eat the other half of my eggplant parmigiana. From a prior visit to the restaurant we knew the eggplant parmigiana would need to be shared or a portion would need to go with us. We have eaten no better eggplant parmigiana anywhere. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated including a fresh red rose on each table. Great experience.
This place is completely unexpected in the land of fried food and chain restaurants. Authentic, fresh and very generous portions. The best Italian food I have experienced outside of Italy, you'll think you're in the Italian Alps, not the Smoky Mountains! Would never expect to find seafood this fresh away from the coast. Our server, Adam, was very friendly and helpful. He guided us on a couple of our selections and his recommendations were spot on. If you are visiting the Smoky Mountains, you need to dine here.
This was our second time but won't be our last. These pics were taken just after we started eating but don't do the meal justice. The portion sizes are large, enough for two, and everything we have had here has been delicious. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Seafood is flown in fresh every day. The restaurant is not large inside, so reservations are recommended, especially during peak times. The bar counter is not large, but we got lucky our first visit without a reservation and managed to sit there. When the weather is good, they have a large outdoor patio.
Food was outstanding but the service was even better! 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone looking for delicious Italian food.
The owner. Husband. Is plain rude. Most dishes taste like pure salt. It was nice for a bit. Went downhill. Many places have better food and reasonable pricing. Waste of money and time.

Our experience was next to perfect. The server, Adam, was so polite and timely. The bar staff was amazing. Our waters never reached half full as the staff was just THAT attentive. Our cocktails were delicious, timely, and strong.Our appetizers were phenomenal. We’re from out of town and have eaten plenty of exquisite meals. Our experience here was surprising in the best way. Our mussels were full of flavor. Our calamari fried to perfection.Our entrees were no less. My filet was cooked perfectly. My husband’s lamb chops were delicious.We love a good small, family restaurant & we got exactly that. It seems to be a place full of smiling faces, happy patrons, and delicious food. It was refreshing in the area of tourist food & chain restaurants. We will be back!
