Food is mediocre at best. The restaurant doesn't honor their punch cards correctly. Card reads one punch per buffet purchased, not whatever the cashier wants to do. Apparently he decides one punch per table. And when you question them on it, cashier(employee) gets very RUDE and LOUD. SAKURA in Sevierville is by far the better option!!!!
Bad. Sure the food is edible but far from enjoyable. Sadly there aren't any good Chinese restaurants in this area, and this one can be added to that list.You'd be better off learning to cook Chinese food yourself.(Was so disappointed that even the Crab Rangoon sucked. How do you mess up Crab Rangoon?!)
Their food was pretty good among Chinese restaurant in that area. We did order to go. General tso chicken and seafood combi are pretty good. Some Review says their food is not good but they should have tried other Chinese restaurant near there. Batters for General tso is the thinnest here among tow other Chinese food we tried. Even fried rice was aweful in other Chinese restaurants near by sevierville Nd Gatlinburg area. Maybe our expectation is not high.
Do not get a to-go order they give you old food off of the buffet. When I order my General Tso's comes with a little crisp. Last time I caught them taking my order from buffet chicken was really soggy. Just ordered again and this chicken is mush isn't even edible. I didn't even know you could make Chinese food that wasn't edible way too go No.1 never ordering from here again!
The buffet is only $10, it's 1 steam table and 1 cold table so limited number of items BUT everything was Great. Usually it's a 100 different items and few might be good but this is the opposite... probably 20 choices and all were excellent. Small place but very attentive staff and great food... the way it is supposed 2B
Worst restaurant i have been in, in awhile! We went in at 9, they kicked us out at 9:30. Big white lettering in front of building, says 10:00 close. FOOD WAS COLD! Server needs an Oscar's for rudest waiter in the world. We were the only people in there, like can we get a sweet tea refill , no get out. Never going again!!!!!!They lost a local customer today!!!
This restaurant is family owned and my family and I have been eating here for many years. They owners know our favorite dishes and always prepare it the same way. Recently because of health reasons my husband had to change his sodium intake and they found a way to prepare his meal meeting the requirements... and it was delicious. Thank you Number 1 Chinese.
The food is great as long as you get it togo would not recommend the buffet. It is not worth the money.
Wish this place took pride in their food and establishment. Do not eat here! Food was sub par, service was non existent and there weren’t even paper towels in the bathrooms. Also, FYI, salt does not replace flavor. You can tell they are only trying to keep the lights on! Do not eat here!!
My husband has been wanting Chinese here locally so he dragged me into this restaurant recently. I'm not a fan of the buffet and this place is an example of why. 2 customers inside was a heads up. Ordered iced tea. How difficult is that to make. It was literally water with sugar in it, clear not even brown. Horrible!! Egg rolls were awful, rice was flavorless. Only a few choices and while the chicken was edible, not anything to write home about. Beef and pork was chewy!! Green beans were flavorless. Crab racoon were overcooked! Not much other veggie choices. Will definately not return and do not recommend this restaurant. I'd be surprised if this place lasts.
