This place never disappoints. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious. There is a good selection of food on the menu. The atmosphere is family friendly, clean with a good amount of space. A decent bar. The service is fast and attentive.
Tonight we ate at Holstons and the service all the way around was absolutely impeccable ? just amazing! We ordered the fried pickles and they were very good just thin. My husband ordered the steak and chicken fajitas and said they were absolutely amazing and delicious. ? I ordered the filet and, to be honest it was not impressive in the least...definitely was NOT a 32$ steak. I simply let our wonderful waitress know that it was tender but, it had no flavor. Approximately 10 minutes later she comes back with another steak that was better but, definitely not right! A couple suggestions ? let them know how you want your steaks seasoned and ALWAYS get the butter. With the fajitas they only brought 3 wraps to the table and we had to order more. The restaurant needs to serve with at least 5 wraps for that big plate. Lastly, they do not serve bread before the meal which would have been a major plus. It was definitely worth a try and had an amazing atmosphere since this is our anniversary week getaway. ❤️ What really got me was how amazing the staff was....they are sweet, upfront and very honest if you have questions!!! Due to the fact my husband is still raving and FULL we will probably be back!!!!
Very classy place to eat. Great ambiance and facilities. Our meal was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. We eat here each visit we make. Great service too!
We drove by and the restaurant looked beautiful from the outside. The menu looked good online, so we stopped here for dinner. This was our first and only visit. The buffalo cauliflower was sauced beyond belief and tasted very much frozen out of a bag. The fish and chips was rubbery and also had that frozen texture. The sirloin was so peppered it was almost inedible. We left a majority of the food on our plates and chalked this place up to a loss. However, Tamera was our server and she was great—very friendly. She did offer to remove something from our ticket and we declined. My advice is to skip this place and don’t let the beautiful exterior fool you in to thinking the food is good.
I guess we expected more of a mom and pops looking place, but this was a really nice restaurant! We didn't go there til our last night and sure do regret that. They have a huge selection on their menu and everything we had was excellent. Staff was very friendly and gave us just the right amount of attention. Definitely recommend!!
Went after church to have lunch, what a delicious meal, had the nachos and chicken strips with a salad. Restaurant is always so clean with an exceptional cleaning staff who the minute the table is empty they are cleaning that table, so good to see. Our waitress was Gloria, what a delightful, courteous, friendly server. Everything on the menu is delicious as we have eaten there several times and will continue to do so. Thanks Holston’s.
Both the turkey club and pulled pork sandwiches were delicious. Each had a little spin on it or something modestly extra (ex. cranberry mayo) that warranted a place on the menu. The fries were fine, if a little chewy and not as crisp as one would expect given the "shoestring" style. For dessert, the orange cake, although (disappointingly) very light on any orange flavor, was still tasty in its own right; warm, gooey, and dolloped with ice cream. A very large portion more than adequate for two people.Very courteous and accommodating staff. Roomy space with basic, unassuming atmosphere.Overall, you won't leave Holston's Kitchen raving over nuance or perfect execution, but for those craving tasty and simple American fare, patrons should find plenty to enjoy.
One of our favorite restaurants and went there because it was our 46th Anniversary. First we ordered chips and queso dip, they came and apparently old as they weren’t crispy and rubbery to chew. Waiter never checked. Was suppose to get soup before dinner but someone brought steak dinner out and when asked about soup he shrugged and left. I needed steak sauce and it was another 15 minutes before waiter came by and then reminded him about soup and steak sauce. Baked potato so cold butter wouldn’t melt and didn’t care for salty butter on steak, much prefer it on the side before ruining an expensive steak. Waiter still charged me for edible chips and overall worst experience here and we have been coming for years. Eating out is more expensive and we tip more today as we know it’s been tough but there were lots of staff available and to pay higher prices for a cold steak and baked potato and poor service will make us stay home next time we have a celebration!
Went here for lunch with my husband. The restaurant is very nice clean and well laid out. It felt good lots of tables good space between the tables so you could talk together and didn’t feel you were part of the Neighbors conversation. The service was great friendly and fast had some good suggestions as for what to eat. The food was great I loved the potato salad and the chocolate cake ( it enormous you can easily split it in 3 pieces). If we lived in Tennessee I would go often.
"I want a big salad" he said, Partner pointed out we hadn't been to Holsten's yet. Went in, then I heard Prime Rib on the menu that night. SOLD! Fried Green Tomatoes, excellent Partner had Fish and Chips, excellent. Prime Rib for me, it was maybe a notch below excellent but still v. good Onion Rings side and they were real! Not the diced and extruded ones. Waitstaff 'Bo' was hard hustling. Can't say enough nice things about how he treated us. Partner pointed out that it wasn't too noisy, a common complaint of ours. When visiting the area, Partner says Holston's is now on our permanent list.
