We came to the location on Winfield Dunn Highway. We had a pizza and wings and they were cooked in a brick oven and were fantastic. The beer is brewed here and is very tasty with several different varieties. My favorite was the A-Monk Friends that is a Dark Belgium Ale at 9.5. Delicious......?.
First time here. Already a new local favorite of mine.Where has this place been all my life??Here since 2020 (according to the bartender) I'm not sure why this place hasn't popped up on my radar before today, but I'm glad it has now.Off the beaten path in the northern part of Sevierville, this brewery, in an up-and-coming area (1minute from Soaky Mountain and Knifeworks), is definitely a hit in my book.Easy access off the Parkway from either direction, with plenty of parking, why not give it a shot?! With 23+ beers on the tap menu, plus a good selection of ciders and bottled beer, you can't go wrong taking a detour off the Parkway to whet your whistle.I'm not 100% sure, but I think the "Don't Feed The Bears" is their staple beer -- and hands down my personal favorite. A few other beers on their list denotes "DFTB" -- Don't Feed The Bears -- which is this beer infused with seasonal flavors. I love them all, but I kept referring back to the original "don't feed the bears" brown Ale.If you're an IPA lover, plenty of beers are likely to do the trick as well. Want some flavor? The "Gingerbread Jesco" ranks high on my list, as does the "Wildcat Holler", an Amber Ale.Mash all these beers together with a super-friendly bartender who pours samples with a smile, you're in good hands as you while away an afternoon.Who knows, you might even make a friend while bellied-up to the bar. They say, [[["EVOLUTIONARY CRAFT BEER; CUTTING-EDGE CRAFT PIZZA"]]] -- this review is all about the beer, my next one will be all about the pizza (baked in a rotating New York brick oven).Beer: 5 stars.See you soon for the pizza sequel!
Excellent beers; good, simple food, and excellent staff! Stopped by while in Gatlinburg for the Skypark and found this place across from reasonable parking ($10). Got a sampler, which included the only Belgian I have ever liked, A Monk Friends. While we had our wings and beer and busted out our map to plan the next day’s hike, got local hiking advice from a very friendly and knowledgeable staff member. Top-notch experience all around!
Very very nice my husband really enjoyed himself. the owners were very knowledgeable about the difference between whiskey and moonshine the different taste....and they say you clean your pallet with pickle juice....he did it was amazing. The store was very clean and nice. I would highly recommend.
Only had a chance to drop in for a short time, but loved the pizza, the flight of 8 beers the wife and I split were all good. Wife loved the graham cracker wheat, I liked the cold IPA. None were bad, and we didn't try the others. Will definitely be back when in the area!
We asked Brian at Tennessee Legend Distillery about good food and my mother in law is ‘allergic to chain restaurants’, and one of the places he pointed us to was next door at the Brewing company. He said that they had great pizza and he highly recommended it to us, and said that everyday someone will get one, and showed us the pizza he just got.So I love me some pizza and wanted to check it out. We order it ahead of time and then had 20- minutes to kill so we did a pint and the girls did a flight. I really loved my beer it was the Bear in the Woods, and it tasted delicious. We got the food and brought it back to where we are staying and it was DELICIOUS. I got the supreme and loved every bite of it, to the point I forgot to take a pic of it. The ingredients were fresh and just tasty. We will prob hit this place again before we leave for both a beer and pizza, before we left we saw a family get some bread sticks and the looked scrumptious so i might get some of those as well!I highly recommend checking this place out!
For being an out of towner and beer nerd, this place really accommodated me well. The beers were tasty. I’ll have to have breakfast juice when it’s hazy but everything was tasty. Can’t wait to crack that bottle of the bourbon barrel aged alpha male brown ale with a friend.A little more info, from what I was told, this is the bigger of the two currently open Gatlinburg brewing company locations. I was welcomed. Cauliflower crust pizza was solid too.
Stopped in with my buddy to get some pizzas to go. Had the time try a couple beers while we waited for our order. Beer was Great. The pizza was really good as well. I would definitely give this place a try if you are in the area.
I went in last night not having the best night. Louisa and the rest of the staff immediately changed my mood. There was a guy playing the guitar, harmonica and singing. The vibe was great. I didn’t eat but had some drinks. I’ve eaten there before tho on the patio and the philly was delicious. I left in a much better mood than I came. Awesome staff.
A great pizza place with some of the best Cheese bread you'll eat. And a great beer and Liquor selection. Fantastic Staff as well
