Went to 5 Oaks on a recommendation from a friend. I felt bad telling him it wasn’t very good. 24.00 for a 2 piece chicken dinner and you can’t substitute anything. They only serve thighs and breasts. You can get 2 breasts for an up charge. All meals come with complimentary potato soup. It’s very watery and not much flavor. Chicken breast was very small and super dry. Really nice place with great service but my food was not good.

From start to finish, this was a great experience. Great open space with a nice vibe. We ordered fried chicken, meatloaf and pulled pork and all were delicious, as were the sides. Our server was Frank and he was attentive and friendly. Service was quick and he kept the drinks full. Finished with the famous cinnamon roll which we enjoyed but didn't live up to the hype. Highly recommend this place!

The cooks there are very heavy handed with the salt!!! We've had breakfast & dinner there and all of the meals were salty. Today, we decided to try their dinner menu. The fried chicken came out almost black and it was over cooked, the meatloaf was extremely dry, and the chicken & dumplings were so salty it was inedible. We were however, given credit for the chicken/dumplings. That said for dinners & 3 drinks it was $63 & that was with the credit!! Not worth the money!!

Visited with my family while on vacation last week. We watched a YouTube video about this place and wanted to give it a try. Hands down BEST breakfast we've ever had. Prices are fair, portions are large and taste is phenomenal. We had leftovers for the next three mornings. We shared a couple of the large cinnamon buns and they're excellent for only $6.79! Although "sweetness" might be subjective we found that the icing wasn't overly sweet and the centers were warm. The pancakes are super thick and i only finished half of mine. Service was great and the inside of the restaurant was everything you'd hope a breakfast place in Tennesse would be. My reccomendation would be to get there when they open (8 am). We got there around 10am the day before and the wait was going to be over an hour. We showed up at 830 the next morning and sat right down.

The food was outstanding. Homemade...nothing processed that we could see. Very tasty. Our waiter was fantastic. Kept the ice tea/lemonades filled. A great sense of humour. The portions were large so be prepared to some take home. It's totally worth it. P.S. we made reservations just in case. It wasn't over crowded but glad we did as we had no wait.

We did takeout of a variety of meals, and everything was really good. We tried the chicken and dumplings, ribs, fried chicken, and the smokehouse special. The side dishes were really good too. The meals came with potato soup and biscuits, so there was plenty of food for six of us.

A terrible, uncaring experience we had here today. Arrived at 10:30. We were well prepared for the 45 minute wait they advised. We have been here before and always enjoyed it. We were not prepared when after an hour, and watching countless others who arrived after us be escorted to their seats. After watching 30+ go ahead of us, and an hour and 18 minutes later, we were told, "two ahead of you!" Ten minutes later, we were then told " only 3 in front of you!" Ten more minutes, " only 2 more in front of you". At this point we asked to see a manager....one shows up and says " I totally understand, but I cannot help you, I am not the manager for the upstairs. She went to get him....he never showed. We left and took our business elsewhere, and through our frustration with the lack of care, and empathy for our neglected concern, and left our new server a massive tip, to turn a ruined morning for us, into a great one for someone else.

Portions were huge for the price! Food was hot and very yummy. We had breakfast and did not have to wait. Servers were quick and good.

While staying in the five oaks lodge, we walked over for breakfast. It gets a 10/10! If you leave out of there still hungry, that's your fault!

Delicious food, reasonable price! I had the BBQ sampler and my husband had the fried chicken. Both serving sizes were very large! The BBQ sampler was delicious and I had left overs for days! The fried chicken had a delicious breading, but it was rather dry. We ordered an appetizer of fried green tomatoes and those were delicious! Definitely recommend the BBQ platter and fried green tomatoes! We went right around 6:45pm at the height of the dinner rush. However, we were seated right away because we were just a party of two, but I know the wait was long for larger parties. Our food was served to us very quickly, boarder-lining too quickly. It was served to us less than 10 minutes after we ordered. All about fast service but that was almost like they were rushing us. Over delicious food, fast service, clean restaurant with a fun farm-chic atmosphere!
