We took my 7 year old grandson. He caught all 5 fish. The gentleman helping us was super attentive and very nice. We had a great time. The property is small but well kept with a small stream running through it. We brought home our fish, had them filet for us.
This is a neat place for families and couples. You can catch your own trout they will clean, prepare and you may eat it there. If you would like to take it with you and you may prepare later or you can eat lunch/dinner off a menu. We decided to eat off the menu. Food was hot and fresh! Service was attentive. It was some of the best catfish that we have eaten. This is a mom and pop style place. It is truly a hidden gem. They accept cash only but they do have a ATM.
This was the best place! The scenery was beautiful and even my 13 year old boys had fun! Catching your own fish was cool and then having them cooked up onsite was the best! The food and sides were delicious! We also caught some fish to take back to our condo. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Very fun and unique experience! Would definitely recommend!
Incredible place! The lemon peppered trout was delicious and had so much flavor. The owner was accommodating and very easy to talk to. He made my family feel welcomed. We highly recommend dining in at this establishment!
Amazing place! Super friendly staff. This is our 2nd time visiting, now we're in the habit to make a special trip to this place every time we come to Gatlinburg. What an amazing place, catch the fish and get it cooked for you too. Food is always cooked fresh and have never been disappointed!! Please make a visit this place, to keep the family owned business going for another 20+years
We attempted to try to take our family for a visit and fishing for some quality family time . As we are from out of town we tried to call for more than 24 hours to get some information for our trip and arrival. To no avail the phone was constantly busy, we attempted to find info online to no avail as well. Not even an update on their pages as to why their phones we going busy constantly. Finally we reached out to the company via messenger only to be treated VERY Rudely.. I guess their business is going so well they can treat potential customers poorly! I will include screen shots of the messages .
This is the best trout place in all of Tennessee, and that's saying a lot. The owner is a great guy and we come here every July and October. Always 5 stars. You literally cannot get trout any fresher lol or better cooked. 10 stars ? See you again in October!
The catfish and trout was fresh and cooked just right. Oh!...and the hush puppies were soooo good!! Its a neat first time experience.
We had a very large tour group. The owner met us on the bus, showed us around the property, and answered all our questions. He was a wealth of information and gave us a behind the scene type of tour. The food was a hit. The staff was very courteous and hard working. Everyone caught a fish and there was lots to watch as we waited for our fish to be cooked. Fun stop for a bite to eat with a twist. Remember to bring CASH. Credit not accepted. Word on the street is Guy Fieri was there the week prior...
Wasn't sure I could fit a visit to English Mountain on our trip to the Smokies but I'm so glad I did (we had first visited back in 2013). We caught four fish for the five of us and tried the blackened, lemon pepper and the fried. All were delicious (can't get much fresher) and even my youngest, who's not the biggest fan of fish, loved it. Uncommon hospitality shown by the owners makes you want to come back over and over again. Highly recommended!
