We were on vacation and looking for a place to celebrate Moms birthday with dancing and we picked the PERFECT place! We originally stopped in at The Funky Budha, but the guy at the front desk was a complete jerk so we had to look for someplace else to celebrate. It all worked out for the best. Everybody on staff at Bluffs was so nice and helpful. I mean OVER THE TOP NICE! You just don't get that kind of service anyplace any more. By the end of the night we felt like Karly was an old friend. She was so nice and did everything she could to make our night enjoyable. The DJ was good, the drinks were good (The Liquid Marijuana was really good), the crowd gave a good vibe. If we make it back to the area, we will definitely stop in again. Thanks from Indiana to everybody there for making a girls night out "Grandma style" ;) so much fun!!
We met here with family to unwind and catch up with family members we hadn't seen in a while. I personally didn't eat or drink, but the family, a rather large group, did eat and drink. They were all pleased. The atmosphere was fun. I would recommend.
The Bluffs is absolutely an awesome place to enjoy an evening. Celebrated my 56th Birthday they're with traveling friends and had the greatest time with the bar tenders, Karaoke DJ as well as the fantastic local friends we met. Couldn't have asked for a better birthday party and great people.
Just drove 8 hrs and this was our first meal of the day and stop in Tennessee. We were starving! Picked this place because it was recommended by the cabin we were staying in and because the food looked delicious! Walked in and stood by the bar waited a couple minutes before we had to ask if we seat ourselves and can you sit outside? Ordered a drink and tipped the bartender. He said he'd send a waitress out to take our order. After about 25 minutes, we finally went and sat inside, 3 feet from the bar. It was not crowded, or crazy busy and they had 4 workers behind the bar. Sat another 20 minutes and finished our drinks and left. Not one person came up to us to take our order or ask if we've been helped or if we wanted a refill on our drinks. Seems like the workers were more interested in taking their smoke breaks out on the patio and standing behind the bar socializing with the 3 or 4 customers at the bar. Worst service ever!
The burger was pretty dang good but the service was all over the place. The fries and Tots were nothing to rave about and neither were the boneless wings. This felt more like a Locals hangout then a standard bar/restaurant. Some of the locals seemed to be over served and looking for trouble. I didn't feel all that comfortable and again - the staff was not attentive.
We went on a Friday around lunch. Wasn’t busy at all. Our waitress was great. Very attentive and friendly. Pretty sure this is more of a locals spot. The beers were cold and good priced. I liked the beer cheese pretzels, but my husband hated the beer cheese. Unfortunately, that’s what was served with his Philly cheesesteak, making him not care for it. I got steak sliders, which I could have made myself at home. Nothing special. My husband loved the fries, but the they taste like McDonalds to me. Which to some like him was a good thing. Lol. Overall, the food was blah, but waitresses were loud and lively which I liked. Probably would go back, but just for the beer.
We happen to go back on another $0.50 boneless wing night and it was excellent, even upgraded to 5 stars due to excellent service! I posted a pic of my meal, super yummy! My wife had the Fish Tacos (see pic) - she reports they were “to die for”. Great job on keeping consistently excellent!
We wanted an experience that was authentic, which is why we chose Bluffs. When we walked in there was one gentleman working at the bar. He looked at us then turned around and went back down to the other end of the bar. There were approximately 8 other people in the establishment; with the majority of them sitting at the bar with drinks in hand We moved closer to the bar just to ask for a menu or to see if we seated ourselves. After we waited another 5 minutes with no acknowledgement or greeting we left.
Terrific Boneless Wings and plenty of sauces to choose from! Awesome staff and friendly locals to boot! Open late and thank goodness for over 21 rules being enforced! We're only in town for a few days and this place is entirety worth a second stop! Call me Karen one more time though....bwahaha
The bartender that waited on us was amazing and the food was good! We would definitely go back when in town! Thanks to our wonderful hosts that told us about this place!
