Well - this is another mixed review... My daugher liked their cheese "pizza" - which was just cheese melted on naan bread. My son liked the honey BBQ wings -- but those were the sweetest and most overbearing wings I've ever had. My wife did like her salmon salad with feta. My steak salad was less than desirable... half the lettuce was wilted, and the steak 'chunks' were tiny and few and far between. Service: Average Ambiance: lively, touristy Food: Ok Parking: large free lot Bathrooms: clean Beers: cold Would recommend: If on the Island Would re-patronize: no
We visited on a busy Friday night and ordered a variety of dishes for our family of 6 adults. While the appetizers we hot and very good, the sides for our main dishes were like warm. Specifically the Mac and cheese, and fries. The beef brisket was chewy and came with large pieces of fat, that should have been easily trimmed before serving.
Definitely a great place to eat. We were told a 20 minute wait, more like 10 minutes if that. Very cool atmosphere and rustic. Not sure if this a chain or a local establishment. Everything we ordered was great. I had the brisket, my son had the shrimp, and my wife the potato soup. Everything was excellent. My wife enjoyed the hillbilly wine. Not sure who our waitress was, but she was honest and quick. Kudos to her. If you are at the Island, I would recommend this restaurant.
A lot of great food options to choose from and great service made it a great evening with my family. The BBQ Brisket sandwich is recommended. And the prices were pretty fair.
This place was great and Hope our hostess was awesome. She kept our glasses full on an extra hot day. At one time I had 3 glasses of sweet tea in front of me! I had the Pork Nachos loaded and they were perfect. One member had the Buffalo burger which he said was cooked medium and tender. My wife had the Strawberry chicken salad and she said it was the best she had ever had. The last member of our party had smothered beef tips over mashed potatoes that was great.
Brisket was so hard, that I could’ve bounced it off the floor. My wife and daughter’s steaks were pretty much flavorless. A disappointment. Spend your money elsewhere.
Our waitress Reyna was great! They serve a wonderful Bison Burger, I had broccoli side hubby had fries. She managed to get us a little taste of their bison chili and we brought home an order. The have a wide variety of foods all of which looked good. I do recommend trying Bison Burger if you visit. We plan on eating here on our next visit.
We stopped here for lunch and everything was terrific - the food, the service, the atmosphere. I had a strawberry salad and it was probably the best salad I've ever had! We all enjoyed our entrees. Wish we had one of these near home!
We'd had some disappointments earlier in the week with restaurants, so we were pleasantly surprised with Timber Grill, especially since it was inside the Island. I expected it to be a tourist trap with average food and high prices. They had a pretty well-diversified menu - bison burgers, strawberry chicken salads, salmon avocado salad, pot pie, veggie burger - and the prices were appropriate for a family restaurant in the middle of a tourist haven, i.e. $15-20. I had the strawberry chicken salad which I would recommend. It was fresh and flavorful. One of our party got the Loaded Potato Cracklins which I would also recommend. The wait staff was great, wish I could remember his name, but he was attentive and did a great job making recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop in for lunch that day.
Jackie was an amazing waittress. Very kind and kept up with us. Made the right choice of the BBQ Ribs. Awesome food. If you go there as for Jackie Best server since we have been here in town.
