After a quick search of "Best Places to Eat in Pigeon Forge" we selected The Old Mill Restaurant. We parked rather far away, but that was not a problem as the walk itself was beautiful. We had about an hour wait. Again, not a problem as we enjoyed our time in the General Store. Once we were seated we were greeted by the loveliest server, Marta. I think she was probably one of the most efficient, attentive and friendliest servers we've ever had ANYWHERE!The food arrived timely and was absolutely fantastic. When ordering you meal you automatically get a cup the the best Corn Chowder I've ever tasted, corn fritters, bread and a salad to start. WOW.For our main dishes we ordered the Country Fried Steak and Turkey with Cornbread Stuffing. Both were cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty. These meals arrived with mashed potatoes and green beans. Our meal ended on a sweet note with a selection of desserts, which we ordered banana pudding.I highly recommend Old Mill Restaurant if you're in the area. It is well run and in watching the overall operation, i can say it is genuinely one of the best restaurants we've ever been to..at home, in our travels or beyond.

Beautiful location, AMAZING food, nice atmosphere, and pleasant staff. The only negative thing I have to say about this location is the long wait to get a table can be brutal with a toddler BUT get there later in evening, 7p or later, or earlier in day and you can avoid some of the crowd. We are a family of 4 and our toddler ate from the plates of the 2 adults and our other son ate off the kids menu. We took our dessert home with us to enjoy and it was really good as well. The corn chowder from this restaurant was a family favorite when comparing to other location soups/stews/chowders!

If I could give them 12 stars I would. The wait was short as it gets while they're busy as it gets. The server was super nice. The coffee was perfect. No bitterness taste at all. The complementary OJ was delicious. The Old Mill Breakfast was amazing. Better come with an empty belly. For less than 1q dollars, 2 people could easily share one order. It came with pancakes, sausage, biscuits, grits, potato rounds and eggs to order, plus delicious brown gravy. Then amy ordered their cinnamon raisin pecan French toast and wow it's good. Highly highly recommend the restaurant.

The Old Mill has a concept that clearly works given the line you meet at the door. We waited for approximately 15-30 minutes before the lady called us over the speaker (an experience in itself) This place is shoveling people in and out EXTREMLY efficiently. Food is quite nice - you typically order a main with three standard sides/appetizers that will make you full before you even get to the main. Dessert is also included in the price but everyone (that we saw) brought it in a doggy bag (if they wanted it at all) as they are already overly full after the appetizers and the main. The food is great and the service is quick and efficient, but the place feels a bit like a drive through with the amount of people-traffic around you. NB! Do not serve wine, beer or other alcoholic drinks. Plenty of refills on the soft drinks though. Probably more suited for families than for a romantic dinner out.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, we arrived not long after it opened which worked out perfect, had about a 10 minute wait. They do roll right through the list and once a table was clean, they seat quickly. I'm a steak person and my rib eye was the best, you get family style beans and mashed potatoes, those green beans were the best. But then you get to choose from different desserts, and the chocolate cake was the best ever!!!!!!!

Delicious food good portion and reasonable price with nice atmosphere and friendly staff …highly recommended…short waiting and the waiter I didn’t remember his name was so helpful

Great service and even better food! Great place to stop and eat if you are in the area and you can even shop in the general store right beside the resturaunt and shop while you wait!

The Old Mill was on the top of our list to have dinner. We were not disappointed. It is a long hour wait to get a table. There are some cute shops around to window shop, but you don’t want to go too far since they call out names. They are not up-to-date with technology for pavers or text messages. When you get seated, there is 4 course meal that includes yummy corn fritters and biscuits. The pot roast was amazing. My son enjoyed the Ribeye Steak. The dessert were so good too. The service is really friendly and quick.

Soup was delish! Fritters we're great. Pot roast was very good. Pot pie was a little too soupy. Chicken meals were good. Service was very good as always. Samples of corn meal cakes at the store so we bought a large bag of mix. We can't wait to try to make them when we get home. Always fun to visit the Old Mill.

Stopped in here because of the stellar reviews. We had a final day before we left breakfast here. Their jams, biscuits and muffins are amazing, but their other fare -- meh. This place is busy, and I mean watch uout going up and down the stairs because you may run into a server using the same route. Fortunately, I did not - but witnessed a few close calls. The restaurant is clean, but dated. View over the river is nice, but most times you're overlooking the parking lot. Service was averge, and food was served promptly. Kids had pancakes w/ bacon; and eggs w/ sausage. Both said their meals were - ok. I had the ham and cheese omlette w/ onions & green peppers - but truth-in-advertising should have been called onion & green pepper omlette with cheese and tad bit of ham. They tried the old restaurant presentation trick of putting some ham & cheese on top to make it 'appear' that the omlette was bursting with these two ingredients. Fortunately, I used to be a cook and when I peeled back the flap of my omlette - it revealed it full of onions, I mean FULL. Some green peppers -- some cheese, and few small flecks of ham. Very disappointed. It was also flavorless. Just bland. Service: Average Food: Average Parking: paved lot (read the signs) Bathrooms: clean Would recommend: Meh Would re-patronize: No
