Great food !!!! First time visit. Just stopped in because we saw the eat local sign and we wanted something besides the same Ol same ol. We ordered the piggies Mac and fried pickles and they did not disappoint. Would highly recommend !!
Horrible place. Unorganized, horrible food, bad service. I can keep going but I don’t want to waste my time. I should have read other reviews first.
first time there.Very good food and service.
Came in with a group of 9 before 5pm. Wanted to get a cocktail then order. The host said that would not work. Could not sit a big table. We went to the bar to have a drink. Alex was awesome and got us a large table in the bar area. Ordering was very confusing. Food was good. Enjoyed the live band. Getting receipt was confusing. I paid for more than what I got
After living in Nashville for several years and then moving away, I was EXCITED to see Puckett's in Pigeon Forge! I was so excited that I twisted my partner's arm a bit and convinced him that we should go out of our way to make the extra stop for a lunch on our way out of town. And then...We had to order at the counter and pay. He paid and tipped. And then....we realized that not only do you order at the counter, you get a nice paper cup for your beverage, and you get to serve yourself. The only thing a "server" does, is bring your food from the kitchen and give you some flatware. He even commented that he shouldn't have tipped if he had known this was the way things were. We were disappointed with the new concept design for sure. Then the food came.It wasn't what I remembered from Nashville.I had the smoked half chicken and the skin was crispy and tasty, but that was the best part of it. Parts of the breast were so dried out they weren't edible. My dogs got a chicken jerky treat when we finally got home.My partner ordered the whiskey chicken. He was very disappointed with what arrived at the table for the price he'd paid. The green beans were shelly and stringy. Shells I can handle, but the strings are a huge turn off. We enjoyed the macaroni and cheese skillet, but it fell kind of flat. Salt and pepper helped. 45 seconds under the broiler before it was served would have made an enormous difference. We left with full bellies, but for the price we paid, we would have expected better quality and sit down service.I doubt I will ever visit a Puckett's again if this is the way they're set up now.
Beware!! We are local and we are NEVER going back. We arrived at 7:15 pm on Thursday, July 14, 2022 and was greeted promptly upon arrival and our initial thought was positive. We ordered our food at the front register, paid for the food prior to receiving it and left an 18 percent tip…. Again prior to getting any food. Puckett’s does not have waiters/waitresses per say since the water, soft drinks, and tea area is “ self-serve”. Key words by the way. Our appetizer, fried green beans (wife’s choice not mine) arrived within a few minutes and they were fresh and hot. Again we thought this would be a positive experience but we were definitely wrong. From this point forward was an absolute shame, unacceptable, and pure evidence from lack of management. I’d fire the entire staff starting with the management and start all over or close the restaurant and go out of business. My wife and I sat at our table and watched guests who arrived before and after us get there food, talk, pay their bills, and leave. We continued to see other guests sit there and get no food as we were doing. We watched wait staff staff around doing nothing, not checking on anyone, including us. We watched wait staff clean up tables, sit other guests that had arrived 45 minutes after us and get their food and we still didn’t have anything but an empty plate of fried green beans. Other guests asked us if we had gotten out food. Wait staff came and picked up our appetizer plate….. But never acknowledged us, spoke, asked if we needed anything, ask if we ordered more food. We had table sticker 186 on our table like we were supposed too. So….. one hour after placing our order. A BBQ plate and a smoked bologna sandwich with Mac-n-cheese. Should have been easy….. LOL!!! We finally got up to find a manager who was not managing at all. Employees were not working but trying to help the manager. The manager dropped a glass and it broke in the floor and never cleaned it up. We asked for our money back $55 . Was charged for our appetizer and tea…. Thank goodness my wife only got water. My wife did offer to pay for the appetizer and tea first, but the manager should have taken care of the customer and should have said there is no charge but didn’t. Again poor management that’s going to cause Puckett’s to go out of business. So bottom line…. Local people do not eat here because of the problems. Look at Trip Advisor & Yelp reviews here lately. They will never survive the winter off season if management is not changed and staff properly trained. They are going down hill fast…. No they are downhill now. We left and went to McAllister’s to eat instead.
We loved eating at PUCKETTS! Loved being able to order/pay when we walked in and within minutes the food was delivered to our table. Great kids menu for picky eaters. You have so many choices, you can't leave there hungry, if you do it is your own fault! From the person taking your orders to the ones bringing us the food, all were so friendly and polite. Will definitely eat there again!
My husband, granddaughter and I ate at Pucketts for late lunch. Food was okay until I found a fly in my salad. After flagging down a lady cleaning a table, she sent the manager. He says “So, you have a fly in your salad” “Do you want another one”. I said no so he offered to give our money back on my salad only. He did not apologize. He actually said nothing but your credit card will be credited for the salad purchase. Needless to say, we will never be back. I wish I had taken a picture, but was to upset to think of it.
Walked in and just about walked back out as I did not want to dine on fast food, the menu is on the wall, you order and go find a seat kinda like fast food places but there is where it ends, The food came to our table on an actual plate (not plastic or paper), it was fresh, hot and for the most part prepared to order. The manager even came by and asked how everything was and to me that is a big, big plus. I have been in the hospitality industry for over 30 yeqrs and never really surprised anymore with restaurants in general. This was a nice surprise.
This cafeteria style service restaurant was a great place to grab lunch without a huge line. The food was done well, good family atmosphere and a friendly staff. In addition to the flavor, the portions were well priced.
