The decor looks nice… the food tasted good. It was our server’s first night-working or by herself, I’m not sure which. We didn’t get the food we had ordered, but since we waited about 45 minutes for it, we ate it anyway, it tasted good though. I got 1 refill on my drink that I had to request. Our bill was switched with the table beside us, we fixed that ourselves, and bless her soul, the waitress switched them back on us and charged us extra for the wrong meal. But… it was her first night.We are from out of town, if we lived in town we would give them another chance, since we don’t, we won’t.
Food was not great. Highest price we ever paid for Mexican food and when my husband was In the restroom - one of the cooks went in and left before wash hands…. So we will definitely not be back…. The waitress was very nice and did a great job… she even commented that the rice was not good- which is what we were ordering…
Always our go to favorite Mexican restaurant, been stopping in here for years. Never disappoints, our waitress Heather was on point with our order, she was polite and funny. She made us at home.
We love José Cantina! We come here multiple times during our trip. This trip we had Heather as our waitress and over the past few years, we have had her quite a few times. She was so sweet and patient with our large family. I ordered the chicken fajita burrito and it was the best thing I've ever eaten from there. If you get a chance, go visit them!
My husband and I have eaten at No Way Jose’s Cantina at least four times, but not in the last 9 mo months until this evening. Food (steak fajita to share) came before our chips and salsa and our drinks (frozen mango Margherita for husband and strawberry daiquiri for me). Even though we had food, we did not have the two 2 plates I asked for to put our fajitas on. One plate finally came but I did not notice it was only one because I was telling the waitress that my daiquiri tasted like a sweet drink for kids. I had my husband taste it and he said the same. I asked to have another one made and that I did not like the whipped cream on top. (I had never seen a daiquiri made like that before and there was mo description of such on the menu. My husband didn’t have a plate for about 10 minutes. My drink came it was a peach daiquiri. When it arrived it had whip cream on it. I saw no description of whip cream or even a daiquiri being on the menu. We were still eating (food in our mouth) when she came to ask if we were ready for the check. My second drink was a peach margarita the same as my husband. It was much better but it was more like drinking juice because there is very little ice in it.
This place has a 35 minute wait and we thought that it was huge and crowded so we were sure the food would be good...But no, we were wrong. Should have read the google reviews before going there.Out server was in a hurry and asked us to order drinks and meal right away. Everyone around us got their chips and salsa but we didn't. I think she didnt like us. :-)People who ordered food after us, they got their food while we kept waiting. Probably we were 4 and not 2 like other tables.When the food came, it was really really bad.. I mean so bad that we couldn't eat. We ordered the veggie fajitas, mexican pizza, cheese quesadia and veggie burrito. They didn't have much veggie options..We didn't complain about the food as we thought they would think we want it off the bill. We just didnt eat anything and asked for the check. She came with a check and asked us if we wanted a box.and that is when we told her that food was tasting stale.She said she would give the feedback in the kitchen.I would not go there again and would advise not to go as this is not a a true mexican place..
Most spicless Mexican food we've ever had. Couldn't even taste taco seasonings on the beef in my taco salad.Look at that cheese, never been to a place using weird cheese like that.Blan tasteless food and servers were making a racket in the back corner, unsatisfactory across the board.
They told us it was a 30 to 40 minute wait but it was only probably 20 to 30 minutes so that was a great sign of things to come! Our waitress got our drinks right away and kept up with them. She kept up with the chips and salsa which were delicious. I think our table had three baskets. What made it even better is that we didn’t have to ask for the additional drinks and chips. She was there with them, without us even asking. She took our order super fast. The food was at our table with lightning speed, and it was absolutely delicious. All four of us cleared our plates. The waitress was absolutely amazing and super friendly as well as efficient. The prices were very reasonable. Our kids ordered some thing for $9.99 each and my husband and I ordered a two person entrée for $25.99. It’s a really cute restaurant on the outside and super cute on the inside.
We always stop by here when in the Smokies. Dropped by on Sunday night. Was told there was a 20 minute wait. No problem. Was called up within 5 minutes. Waitress seemed to be nice and took our order as we had already made up our minds while waiting. Chips on table were greasy and salsa was watered down. After about 20 minutes we were given another basket of greasy chips. I asked about our food? Waitress asked again what number I ordered? Obviously she had forgotten to put our order in. Finally our order was brought to the table. Plates were red hot, but food was cold. Saw the manager take others food back and heard several complaints and apologies from staff. Will think twice about going to this location again.
The food is good. The wait staff attentive and efficient. It is casual and a bit loud. It is clean and we had a good dinner.
