This place has good burgers and is a 50's style diner. Because of that setup, it's somewhat small inside, but thats not a probelm. They got us in and out in a reasonable amount of time.

We have visited here so many times and never have had an issue at all.. The floors were disgusting, the waitresses acted like they were so over booked they didn't want to be there. Tammy that was to take care of us didn't smile, seem to roll her eyes when we had to call her back to table because she brought my husband wrong drink. Through the mayonnaise on table that was in her picket, when asked to bring grandson another straw because his was cracked and he needed another she told him he'd have to wait she didn't have none in pocket. Was told this shift started at 3. We we want be back after 3 that's for sure. Cleaned tables with a napkin..disgusting. The air inside was very uncomfortable, people were fanning..

Mel's is our go-to place when it is getting late and other establishments are closing. I guess that sounded like a back handed compliment but I didn't mean it that way. The food is good, we like the atmosphere and the staff, and we always have a good time when we eat there.

Fun diner decor on the outside and inside. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We were surprised by the huge variety of food offered. I had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and it was great. My daughter loved the homemade potato chips. The banana split was amazing!

We ate breakfast at Mels. We have never ate the other meals there. Breakfast has always been great. The service is great & fast. Usually, it's one of the cheaper priced breakfast, but this year it was priced like all the other restaurants. Price increase. The grits, sausage, eggs & toast was good.

A wonderful place to get great food and hear cool tunes playing on the jukebox. Vibe is 100%+ and the staff is very fast and friendly. We went in for dessert and I had the Peach Cobbler, excellent! My son had the Choclate Cake, great. Husband had thick shake and loved it. Check it out while vacationing in Pigion Forge or passing through.

Mel's is small and busy, but we went between normal meal times and got right in. Our server seemed overworked and grumpy, but we didn't mind because she was efficient and the food was delicious! Their burgers and fries are really good. Our kid loved his milkshake. The hot fudge in the hot fudge sundae was not hot, but it tasted wonderful! We also ate at Sunliner to compare (same items), and Mel's food was better hands down. Sunliner has a better atmosphere and friendlier wait staff, but they are also more expensive than Mel's. If we return to Pigeon Forge, we will absolutely be back to Mel's for the awesome food!

We went for lunch one day and it was packed. We were in kind of a hurry but got our food quickly. I recommend their cheeseburgers.

We liked this place. The food is good and the servers work really hard. We walked in at 5pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. Our server was a very nice lady probably in her 60s. Was very impressed that all the servers were running constantly, helping each other, and the food was out in a very decent time frame. I had the reuben and coleslaw. I would say if you order the Reuben, get some sauce on the side. I didn't because I chose not to have the extra calories, but it would have added to the flavor. As is, the Reuben was pretty good, although not the best I've ever had. The cole slaw was creamy and had a good taste, not too sweet but not tasteless either. Hubby had a jalapeno cheeseburger with an added fried egg, and French fries. He said the burger was good as well. The fries were hot and perfectly salted. And the dessert... we had the chocolate cake hot fudge sundae thing. It was delicious and plenty for two people. We saw the banana split and it was huge!! Next time!! We will definitely go back!! Side note: it wouldn't be practical, but I would've loved if the waitresses were dressed like they were in Mel's Diner on Alice. But alas, they have their own custom shirts, which are also cool.

We rolled into Pigeon Ford late and hungry and looking for something that was quick and easy. We were fresh off the road and tired. The wait time was feasible but seating a group more than five, our party was split. The music was loud. And it claims if the music was too loud then you’re too old. So everyone has to sort of shout. The food was decent but not worth the money paid. The wait staff was amazing, kind, and happy to suggest their favorites. If you get overwhelmed with blaring lights, loud music, enclosed spaces, and shouting, avoid.
