The only thing we didn't like was getting into it at first, it's confusing! So opted to valet to not worry about parking, it was so worth it. When you walk into the lobby the smell is wonderful, it's smell like a beach vacation! The staff there is amazing! Ronnie at the front desk went above and beyond the whole time we were there. They were suppose to get our rooms as close together as possible, that was only downfall, as we were traveling with two 18 year old boys. The rooms were comfy and spacious, we had beautiful views of the river. Joy and Kaitlyn at the pool bar were fantastic, Joy made the best rum runners and they kept you entertained. Always smiling and helpful. On the day it was pouring the rain, Ronnie got us umbrellas so we wouldn't get wet. How sweet that was. Then on our last day we enjoyed the Fins and Chill bar. Spencer was a great bartender. When we left to go enjoy our balcony, I realized we didn't have any beer in our room. Tammy and Luis in the Fins bar went out of their way to make me a beer bucket and took it to our room. The staff at this hotel just went above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. We will definitely come back. We so enjoyed it here. Beautiful hotel, close to so many things that are walking distance.
It was our first visit to Pigeon Forge. I used Trip Advisor and the web to find the best hotel. We stayed here because it had great reviews. We loved our stay. The view on the balcony was amazing. We had the village view. The room was clean and really unique with all the decorations. The staff there was really friendly. It’s right in the center of the Island of Pigeon Forge and we spent the day walking around the shops, eating at Paula Deens, and riding the rides. We stayed for two nights and we will definitely go back next year. We loved this hotel.
Stayed for 3 nights and housekeeping did not show up a single day. We made sure to remove the do not disturb sign and we were gone from noon until late at night every time, plenty of time, but they never showed up. Upon first walking into the room, we headed to the balcony and got a hornet fly right into our heads. We looked up and there were 2 pretty good size nests. Told the front desk guy and he acted like he was going to call maintenance to have it removed, but that night when we returned, the nests were still there, they never came to remove them. Couldn’t use the balcony the entire stay. For over $400 a night, clean towels, trash taken out, and being able to use a balcony should not be too much to ask. The air conditioner barely blew at night so it got pretty uncomfortable in the room making it hard to sleep. People would gather on the hallway close to our room and you could hear their entire conversation for quite some time. On our checkout day, valet parking was so busy apparently, that we got texted that our car would take 30 minutes to be retrieved. We needed to head to the airport, so we got it ourselves. The only feasible way to park is really through valet parking. If you park your own car, you have a long ways to walk along with all the visitors coming to the Island. Driving through was a nightmare due to so many people walking and crossing not allowing cars to pass.
First of all, I must say the welcome we received by the valet staff and those at the front desk were amazing and so helpful! The lobby also smelled amazing! We had two village view rooms. One was a larger room with two queen beds and a chair with an ottoman. The second room was smaller, but had seats and the foot of the beds. Both rooms had a large bathroom with amazing showers with a rain shower option. The beds were comfortable and everyone had decent sleeps for not sleeping in our own beds. I would say that if you must have a completely dark room, a village view room may not be for you. While the door to the balcony has adjustable blinds, quite a lot of light does get in. Also, the noise in the village view rooms may be bothersome if you like to go to bed early. We could hear the people talking and music playing until at least 11 each night. It was great for us because we enjoyed staying out late listening to the music or enjoying daiquiris at Dude's Daiquiris. Overall, my only real complaint is that it was sometimes impossible to enjoy sitting on the balcony. There are benches near almost all the balconies for those visiting The Island to sit. Many times in the mornings, people would sit on those benches smoking. As a person who suffers from migraines triggered from strong smells, especially from strong perfumes and cigarette smoke, I would have to go back into the room before I wanted to when the smoke started invading my space. If it were not for the cigarette smoke every time I sat on the balcony, I would have given a 5-star review.
The staff was fast and friendly. They were able to do an almond milk frappe with no problem.
The coffee was not very good. BUT the staff was friendly and pleasant to chat with. Next time I'll try their treats instead of the coffee.
We checked in on 6/25 for our family vacation. Lora Lee, the manager at the front desk was absolutely incredible. The valet guys were patient, friendly and very helpful. The pool, while not the greatest pool for the price, it serves its purpose and the staff that work the rooftop bar area are all amazing. Housekeeping could use some work and the only reason I say this is because they kept forgetting things. One day wash clothes, one day coffee. Little things like that. The hotel and rooms were clean. It was our first time in Pigeon Forge, TN and The Margaritaville Island Hotel made it a great experience and truly enjoyable! We will return!
My wife and I just got in to the hotel. The internet was down but Lorie Lee at the front desk took care of us. She turned the potential bad experience into a wonderful experience. While she was getting our room ready with internet down, she sent us to the Chill Bar and Ellie the bartender gave us wonderful drinks and conversation. Come get a drink from her! I look forward to the rest of the trip!
Everything from the staff to the rooms and the amenities. Everything was GREAT. The rooms are huge and sooo clean!! The bathrooms are especially nice. Huge showers and tons of space. There were only two of us, but our room was large enough and nice enough to accommodate a large family. We had a courtyard view and I’m glad we chose the fountain side as opposed to the other courtyard option. A special shout out to John and Brooklynn at the front desk!!! They were amazing, and so nice!!! They were engaging, and went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed. They even put up with us when we were a bit ‘tipsy’ ;-) Thanks so much for the EXCELLENT service, Brooklynn and John!! Keep up the great work!! You are both a huge asset to the resort. We will be back!!
