I placed an online order via the LJS website on March 6, 2022 at 8:15 pm, the order was to be picked up at 8:45. As with all online orders, it was paid for when the order was placed. When we arrived at Long John Silvers to pick-up the food, the doors were locked and a handwritten sign was on the door that said, "closed will open when we can." I went back to my car, checked my bank and verified the money had been taken out for the order. I then called the restaurant and the woman who answered was extremely rude and said they were closed and refused to refund my money. I called the next day and spoke with the manager, who kept telling me I would have to get my refund through the website, I kept telling her that's impossible. Finally, she said that her manager would call me. I waited until the next day (2 days after they stole my money) and no one ever called me, so I stopped by the restaurant and they still refused to refund my money. During all of this, no one even bothered to apologize and treated me as if I had done something wrong. They acted as of it was my fault because I placed an order the workers did not want to make the food, so they closed 2 hours early. I still have not received a refund or an apology. I will be contacting my bank and possibly the police.
We ordered from LJS two nights in a row using a delivery service. The first night we placed our order at 7:22 pm. The delivery service send a text saying their driver was there waiting to pick-up our order. At 8:38 we receive a message saying our order was cancelled because they were closed. The next night we tried again, but ordered around 6:00 pm. The same thing happened again with a text sent around 7:12 pm saying cancelled because they were closed. The hours for LJS states open until 10pm and full orders until 9:30pm. Sad when our delivery person was there and ended up losing our tip and did not get an order. Definitely won't be making this mistake again.
We decided on LJS for lunch and pulled into the lot, as we got out of the car a worker was outside and told us they opened at 12 instead of 11. We took a little ride and went back at noon. There were only 2 workers out front but they were so friendly and apologetic about being short staffed, we placed our order and she said she had a coupon we could use for what we had ordered, wonderful. The cashier would have to help fill orders at times and stop waiting on new customers for a few minutes but was very good about letting people know what was going on. The food came out hot and tasty and I have to say the friendliness of the two ladies working, cousins I believe, will bring us back here again.
During the Hot Rod Weekend, I was looking for something quick. I stopped in LJ’s, the fish and chicken was absolutely delicious! I also had the hush puppies and they were perfectly cooked. I so recommend LJ’s in Pigeon Forge!
I'm a mystery shopper in another county and if I was evaluating the place of business it would be a very low score.Chicken was hard like left in warmer to long.Bathroom was dirty and smellsCleaning supplies left on dining table.Manager and employee arguing g loudly.Employee left.Manager and other employees discussing problems in presence of customers.
We were sooo excited to get Long John's. There hasn't been one in my hometown in years.We stopped at the one in Pigeon Forge and it was almost closing time but they fit us in and it was as good as I remember it.
Very happy there is still a LJS still open. The employee's were very nice and the store was clean and the fish was just like I remember.
Two star rating as the fish, chicken and shrimp platters were fresh and tasty. Now, the rest of the story. There is a definite need for some roof repairs as the numerous five gallon buckets catching the rain water indicated. After the roof gets repaired the building owner might want to go ahead and replace all of the drop down ceiling tiles because alot of them are flat missing and the rest are in need of replacing due to water stains. Taking all this into consideration the employees are still maintaining good attitudes.
this was a very old restaurant. fish was hot. chicken was not. Fries were. great, coleslaw was old and warm. Condiment counter was mostly empty. The pop machine was ok.
My husband was very excited to dine with Long John Silver's as there are no convenient location near our area.. He was not disappointed... Fresh and delicious!
