Very cute atmosphere, PLENTY of food! No one is going hungry here! The food took a little while so the kids started getting restless but luckily our waitress brought out the vittles while the main entrees we're cooking. Everyone had great things to say about their meals. I only got grilled cheese which was good but hard to mess up. Felt like everything was fried, southern tradition, I just didn't have the stomach for it on this day
Great food. The fish was great and so was the Country fried steak. The service is very fast. The hush puppies you get at the beginning are really good. You need to eat here!
We both ordered catfish which was excellent. He raved about his green beans. The hush puppies were so good. Our waitress was the best and we were served so quickly, even though they are very busy.
Unfortunately our trip here wasn't the best. Not sure if it was just an off night or what but it didn't make me want to ever go back again. There was a bit of a wait which is fine, they were moving people through fairly quickly. The staff was all very pleasant but the disappointment came with the food. For a place known for their catfish I was highly disappointed. The batter was bland and the fish was very greasy and not crisp as if though the grease wasn't hot enough when they were put in and then they were left in too long. My wife got some shrimp and they turned out to be the best part of the meal. The fries had an odd taste as well. But the sweet tea and pickles were delicious! Hopefully this was just a random experience and the fish is normally cooked better.
Before you can even get your food that you ordered they bring out beans, coleslaw, pickles & onions for the table. The catfish was delicious as well as the chopped steak. The sides are a good as well! Try it and you will enjoy it. You may have to wait to get in the door because Huck Finn's is not a secret and people flock there for good food.
We always try to stop in when we're in Pigeon Forge and we're never disappointed. The staff are always friendly and the food is always good. The prices are average for Pigeon Forge. I would recommend trying this place if you haven't already.
After being seated , server brought out the “vitttles” that every diner gets with their meal . We enjoyed all the sides . We ordered fried pork chops , fried chicken and server brought 1 piece of catfish for us to sample . Everything looked so good but just didn’t have a lot of flavor ! I have had much better elsewhere. The server was very attentive and the sweet tea was wonderful!
Did not wait long on a Saturday night. Great chicken and catfish. Enjoyed our visit fully. Service was awesome. Will be back.
I just ate here for the first time ever. I must say, all the food I tried was AMAZING. It was all cooked perfectly and the seasonings and freshness we're on point. The service was the BEST service I've ever had anywhere in my life. Our waitress, Caitlin was awesome. She was very attentive and she was super nice and kept us smiling. If someone from Huck Finn is reading this, she needs a raise cause whatever y'all pay her, she's worth more!
Fantastic!! It never fails. We love it every time we go. Vittles are so delicious! Fried catfish, frog legs, fried chicken, clam strips, everything is fantastic. We took 3 adults and 2 teenage girls. Cost us $122 but worth it!
