You won't regret stopping in to Boss Hogg and grabbing some absolutely amazing BBQ. I got a platter with some brisket and ribs as I couldn't make up my mind between the two. The brisket was loaded with flavor while still moist. The ribs had the perfect pull and didn't just fall apart making a mess. My wife has BBQ pulled pork which again was absolutely perfect with no long stringy pieces or surprise chunks of fat. She went with mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese for the sides which were phenomenal just like everything else.
Ordered takeout: pulled pork family meal for 4, baked beans, mac and cheese and green beans. Family meal came with pork, 4 rolls, 2 kinds of barbecue sauce and 2 sides, I added 1 extra side. Everything was excellent (yes, even the green beans)! I found it to be very affordable and staff was extremely friendly! Would absolutely eat here again!
Absolutely delicious barbecue. I had the beef brisket lunch plate with coleslaw for the side. The sandwich is large. The brisket is succulent and generous in portion. The coleslaw is sweet and creamy, no horseradish. The staff was friendly and the dining area was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The meat was tender and flavorful. We had the ribs and pulled pork. The sides were tasty as well. Great, not-from-the-can, baked beans. Cole slaw, fries and loaded potato salad were very good.
Amazing food and such a wonderful atmosphere !! Nice view of the mountains ! Best BBQ I’ve had yet!! Hubby had the large ribs platter ( he felt like Fred Flintstone they were so big) baked beans and French fries. I had the brisket platter with Mac n cheese and baked beans !! Amazing !! STOP HERE THE NEXT TIME YOU ARE IN THE AREA!!!!
We took a chance on this place as it was on the way to our cabin...from the outside it is a tiny shack of a place but let me tell you what they do inside is awesome! We had several things from the menu, and everyone loved every single bit including the cakes I can 100% recommend this place and the young lady who took our order was awesome
these were the best ribs and food we had. they were good size and the rib were so tender and falliling off the bones.
Superb brisket! Lean and tender dipped in their sauce was the best I've had.Should've rated only 4 stars because they forgot the potato salad which was one of the two sides on our to go order but that brisket was so good it outweighed that oversight.Will definitely return.
What a choice! Everything was fantastic. There were 7 of us and the food came out quickly and it was all the right temp. The country fried steak was the real deal. The brisket was melt in your mouth perfect. Pulled pork, Mac-n-cheese and the baked beans were all authentic and on point. Fast friendly service put this place over the top. Highly, highly recommend!
Great service provided and couldn't have been more helpful checking in & out the buggies. On top of that they have some great BBQ to finish off the day with!
