I Love Panda Express EXCEPT for this place. Today I sat in line for more that 10 minutes just to find out they were doing CASH only orders. "our card thing isn't working" My response was it would have been nice to know before I got to the order board. the response, "well we have been to busy to go out there and put up anything." Really!! I had to sit there while 2 more cars got their order, the 3rd car pulled through. This is not the first time this store has had the same kind of issue. I have sat in the line before just to be told their "card thing" wasn't working. But it doesn't stop there. this store has served me food that should have been tossed out to many times. I go to other stores and the food is great, so I think maybe it was an off day, or maybe they had a slow day. But yuck. It never fails. I even have gone inside to see what looks like it has been there forever and have watched them dish up and serve food that has been sitting there way to long. This is a management issue with food quality. Who ever this manager is knows he can get away with serving food that has long expired on the food bar. It has been sitting there cooking for a long time. I have watched servers stick a spoon into a pan of food and you could tell that food had been sitting there for a while drying out. I won't be going back. I have finally said enough is enough!
I ordered thru drive thru and the menu is a little confusing. For example if you order the family meal there's certain meat items that's not included and is an extra charge but you won't know that until you order it. I ordered a dish that I wasn't told was needed to be prepared until after I paid then was told I needed to wait on it. I could've ordered another dish if I'd known. The food wasn't hot and didn't taste fresh as if it been sitting for a while. I wasn't impressed. Don't know if I'll order here again.
The very last time I was in here it was very expensive and I was told that their food portions were 70/30 and that came out to about three pieces of chicken. That is pieces about the size of a golf ball. And the gentleman trying to explain this was very femanine to say the least. If he wants to charge that much to support a girlish figure, that's good, but I'll go over by Home Depot to Chopsticks where is mostly chicken or beef on the plate and it's FRESH and not sitting under a hot bar when I get there. I will not be back to Panda Express in Oak Ridge. I will go to Chopsticks where I can get fresh food made to order and support a local mom and pop shop over a careless franchise running into the ground by someone supporting girlish figures.
I've been going there for years, but the food quality seems to have declined recently. The chicken and shrimp I got last night tasted a little funny and I've been nauseous since. I don't think I'll be going back there for a while.
The reason I'm giving this restaurant a one star is every time I go there which is normally 2 to 3 times a week and during dinner hours so it's not horribly late they never have their full menu they never ever had their full menu and whoever is doing their ordering needs to learn how to order
Solid restaurant. My issue is that 45 to 50 minutes before closing time they don't have half the menu. This has happened twice. They asked my what sides I wanted, then proceeded to tell me we don't have veggies, we don't have low mein, they only have fried rice. Why ask? They were also out of main items. This happened twice. I am ordering at 8:40 to 8:50 and the restaurant closes at 9:30. If it is 9:20, I understand. If it happens once, I understand. Also they were not OUT of food, they just didn't want to cook more.
The only Panda Express I've went to where the rice is ALWAYS straight mush. You don't have to cook the rice THAT long chill out a lil bit. To be honest the orange chicken is never fresh either(luckily pandas orange chicken flavor is still there to save it) worst Panda Express I've ever been too. Still can't enter the Lobby either so you can't even see the food before you order it so you get stuck with food that was cook 4 hours ago. Straight TRASH. ✌?✌?✌?
I just paid $10 for 4 pieces of beef and 4 pieces of uneatable broccoli that looked like they found it out by the dumpster! The fried rice was crunchy, like uncooked type crunchy in places, and had dried out egg in it that I honestly thought was paper at first. This was the first time I ever went to this location and I can promise you it will be my Last!!! I will say the drive thru was quick and the staff friendly. It's a shame the food was so disappointing!!!!!
