All Mexican restaurants are good right? We El Cantarito lives up to their slogan as "Best Mexican food in town." We go every 2 months when in Oak Ridge with group of 8 to 12 and great service, quick with drinks, chips and salsa. Have tried lots of stuff on menu over last 3 years and everything is good. They have a nice covered patio you can sit in year round. Bar with good selection of alcohol. Definitely worth stopping in for a meal.
Cantarito is a very friendly, welcoming & unassuming setting, that caters to all.Staff is efficient, hard working, and aims to please. The food is delicious, and their portions filling and of great value.Of all the great eateries in Oak Ridge, this is certainly my most visited, and a top favorite. It's been so for close to 20 years!So in a nutshell ....Food is ⭐Attention is ⭐Selection is superb.And their drink specials are fantastic.I rate Cantarito:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐?????This place is a ?Treat yourself to a visit.
Food was really good, fast and hot. Excellent service. Great find while passing through. Average atmosphere...but you go for the good eats!
Pretty good Mexican food. They have a lot of choices. All of our dishes were prepared well and we had a lot to eat. I asked for some hotter salsa for the chips and it was very tasty.
The food is really good, margaritas are on point. Salsa is amazing! The service is ok!!! We got everything we needed but it took longer than expected. For the 5 of us it was about $50 before tip. We did tip accordingly at 20%
Simple. The food tastes bad. All premade and heated. Food was not served to both of us at the same time. We were not provided water when we asked. We had no utensils. The margaritas are made ahead and have commercial sweet and sour mix and they cannot make them any other way. Side note, the waiters were working very hard.
I love this place! The serving staff is super friendly and they're usually pretty quick with their service. Food is always fantastic, the missing star is just for service being a little slow every once in a while.
I have went here for years since before they expanded. Food is almost always great and service is too for the most part. They do sometimes have slow service but they also get very busy and have the same waiters and waitresses working all the time. They are a great place to eat overall.

I went for lunch with a friend. Food was good, hot and quick service. At a very reasonable price, as well. Can't go wrong here. They've been in business for a long time and have a dedicated clientele!
