We live down the road & visit often but today the visit was outstanding! My 11 month old got sick on my husband and he needed a shirt, Roni offered an extra shirt he had in his car and wouldn’t let us pay him for it!! Our server, Tammy, went above & beyond for us! Customers for life!
Beautiful views, terrible service.I've been to this location twice, several months apart (several others in the area as well) and the service just wasn't service. Yes they did their job but I've experienced friendlier greetings and help at funerals. This visit we received finger food with no napkins and our server never checked on us so we ate it and asked for napkins once we saw him again, after we had finished. The banana pudding, while it was nice with a twist of macadamia nuts, it just wasn't what banana pudding in the south is known for. The listing was a different texture, almost custard like, half of it was cream whipped topping and I rarely discovered a banana. And I love me some banana pudding. Calhoun's is a fav and we'll continue to eat there, just not this location, or, we'll know what to expect. Other locations have been incredibly friendly.
Had a wonderful meal at Calhoun’s on the river in Oak Ridge Tennessee. Great atmosphere, beautiful views of the river coupled with the surrounding hills makes for a great dinning experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our waitress was Andrea, very attentive and pleasant.
I’ve come to Calhouns a few times this months and I have go to say I think today was my favorite experience! Our server Emily Clark was the sweetest ever and always made sure we were having a good time! I’ve loved having her as my server and I will definitely be back again!
Service was great and food was great. Did not have to wait long for food! Andrea was our server. Great view of the water too!!
Excellent food, excellent service! I am actually at a loss of words for how nice this place is. Our waitress Christy Hanson was very polite and understanding she even managed to get me some fresh squeezed Peach tea that was delicious and unlike any other tea I've had before.
Worst experience ever at this location. Everyone else received refills, but I didn't. Also ordered the southern salad with ranch dressing. I came out with blue cheese dressing and I had already poured it over the salad. The waitress was taking an order for a big table, so I waited 15 minutes to tell her. She said she would have it remade. Still sitting without a drink, waited another 15 minutes, so I told her to take it off the check. She did. No discount or offer to replace the salad for free. Paid the check, and 15% tip because I know that they only make it on tips, though she deserved less. Went to the front counter and asked for the manager. The manager in a flannel shirt with a big grizzly beard finally came. I told him my frustrations and he said, "I apologize. How can I help." Still no offer from them to make it a better experience. I should not have to ask for assistance. If something happens, the manager should be the first to offer a solution. The company that I work for always has their lunches and Christmas parties there. That will not happen again. Also going to post this all over social media. I hope they go out of business in Oak Ridge.

We were greeted by Allison who very friendly. Tori was our server and did an excellent job during our lunch. It was my friends first time eating lunch at Calhoun's but will not be there last. Your great employees made it special. Thank you ladies!
Christy Hanson was our waitress. She anticipated our needs and met our expectations. Made recommendations and was listening when we shared our taste and wants. Food has a great southern flavor. But the river side view is the element which will call you back again and again. If you want to impress a date or customer this place will do the job.
