The pics don’t do it justice (and frankly, we dug in before remembering to take a pic). This place is absolutely fantastic! My husband is vegan (I am not) and we decided to stop in here while in town based on all the reviews. I was a little unsure whether I’d need to stop somewhere non-vegan afterwards when I planned this as our lunch spot. I did not! At the recommendation of our server, I ordered the soul food plate and (so we could have variety) my husband ordered the Philly cheese sandwich. Both meals were so tasty (and I say this as a non vegan foodie). If we had more time in this town, we would go back for additional meals. The portions were generous, everyone we encountered was super friendly and helpful, and again, the food was fantastic! This is a must stop restaurant when in Nashville!
Make a stop here. Really tasty food! Plenty of free parking (That's a thing in Nashville) Lots of awesome vegan food! They have an extensive menu. Loved the compostable boxes. Could do without plastic bags and plastic utensils.
So, I must say that the customer service was awesome, very professional and respectful! What I didn't like as much was the food... It was... Okay. Both my wife and I got the hot chicken soul food plate...and I ordered a side of yams with it. The Yams were by far the best thing I'd eaten there... Maybe it's just me but I really expected more flavor but it is vegan food. Every time I do a review, I have to be honest... But it is my opinion and others may think otherwise. We just really hoped for more flavor. If I'm being specific, the Mac n cheese didn't have much of a flavor at all; same with the collard greens, I did like the fries though. Now on to the Hot Chicken, it was vegan as well... It was seitan(a meat substitute)... It was a bit chewy and the sauce tasted like buffalo sauce... Both my wife and I began going vegan and wanted to try this place out... If this is your favorite vegan place, then good but I did not like the food, personally... That still doesn't mean not to go there... I will return to try other options though. The customer service was definitely 5 stars and the food 3 stars! Thanks Vegelicious!
The restaurant 1st of all was in an unlikely place . The food was average and really pricey I was shocked that the 2 of us had The barbecue chicken plates a salad dessert and ginger beer And our ticket was$72 and some cents and with the tip our tap was $80. I suggest you asked the prices of each item because they're not listed on the menu before you complete your order.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great outdoor area. Food was AMAZING!! All vegan! I had the Reuben and side of yams, I could eat this weekly and never get sick of it!! My kids got the Mac and cheese and gobbled it up, I was also very impressed there! Their desserts were divine! Pineapple and strawberry cake served warm with a delicious icing! Will be returning soon!
Took my wife here yesterday for her birthday. Read all the amazing reviews on google and drive a few hours to try it out. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! The food was all incredible. We got a plethora of things to try. The Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich was definitely the best thing on the menu. I highly recommend it. The coconut bacon BLT Po’boy was also really good. The sides (Mac And Cheese, Yams, Greens, Rolls and fries) all delicious. My wife loved the lasagna so much she didn’t even share a bite with me.Desert wise, she preferred the cheesecake, I preferred the coconut cake. Both great, but distinctly different. The language around Philly foods on the menu are hilariously misused so if you are from Philly/Jersey don’t let that fool you into thinking the food is bad. Being from philly and seeing the “on a hoagie” or “Philly cheese sandwich” had us cracking up, but the food was no laughing matter. In all seriousness, go try this place! I’ll be looking for n excuse to get to Nashville again asap!
I highly recommend this vegetarian cafe. Everything is homemade and you know it within the first bite. We ordered the Philly and the soul platter, which included bbq chik, collard greens, fries, and yams. All of it was awesome. I would have eaten way more than I needed because it was so good. I can't wait to go back and try it all!
I can't believe I hadn't tried this place before now. I was so happy with the food I ordered (I got takeout rather than dining in). I wanted something fresh and tasty, and I knew I wanted a dessert, too. I got a small Fried Chick Salad and a Strawberry Cheesecake. The "chicken" was definitely chicken-flavored, and the salad dressing was perfect on top. The dressing was probably some of the best vegan ranch dressing I've ever had. The cheesecake was light and decadent at the same time. I really liked the base, too. Overall, totally satisfied with this restaurant, and I hope to order again soon.
Such good vegan food…YUM! The desserts were amazing! See pics, I had strawberry cake hubby got the carrot cake ??The Lasagna was excellent. We ordered a 2nd one after sharing the 1st one ?
A must if you are wanting delicious food.I came here for lunch.Service: It was difficult to decide what to order. The hostess kindly offered some suggestions when she noticed I wasn't sure what to order. She was kind and answered my questions about the menu items. Food came out quickly.Food: I was leaning towards the Soul Plate entrees but finally decided to try the Philly Sandwich and fries. It was delicious. Onions, bell peppers, protein, and a little cheese to top it off. I asked for a side of spicy sauce on the side to give it a little kick. The fries were on point. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Nice crisp on the outside, soft firmness inside. The seasoned salt was just the right touch.Price: cost was comprable to other lunch sit down restaurant.Decor: the inside dining area is not very big, 5-6 four chair tables and that's it. Nice tasteful decor on walls. Outside though, a large tent with about five wooden benches to give every member of your party a place to sit. There also were two smaller tables and chairs for your more private lunchtime. The music was great. Not too loud but loud enough to create a great vibe. While I was there they had some neo-soul playingLocation: it was a little confusing getting to the restaurant but just follow the signs. Parking is limited but there is also parking on the street.Overall this restaurant is great. I will definitely return to try some of their other menu items. To include their selection of drinks.I highly recommend this restaurant Must try.
