This place is such a cool concept. I really love the space and the wait staff is attentive. The thing that is a little off putting is the menu is small and they are always out of things. I still have been twice and have yet to have their warm dates...but I will go again and hopefully get me some dates..lol. P.S Have the grilled deconstructed avocado toast it is banging ?

For some reason it just did not do it for me. Prices are high but about par for East Nashville, staff are friendly, there is outdoor seating at the back, and it is quiet. Two times when we have been there there was small jazz band. Decent selection of wine, although the staff was not much using in recommending anything. The platters are decent and a decent size, but the menu is very limited and very plain. IU certainly could not spend an evening there. Chairs at the smaller tables were extremely uncomfortable. To me this feels like a venue looking for a reason to exist. I edged between 3 and 4 stars. Better if you go as a crowd.

Food is fantastic and deserts are spectacular. Perfect place all year round— when it’s cold fireplaces provide warmth and outside garden is a wonderful place to eat and hear music when it’s warm. All the menu items are based on quality and incredible fresh ingredients. Owner and Staff are beyond competent and truly special!

1 star for ambiance & decent wine & food. 0 stars for a server who seemed like he couldn’t care less that we were there AND OVERCHARGED MY CARD!! Will not go back when someone tries to sneakily double their tip.

I'd give my left ear to make sure this place stays open! (See what I did there?)Food is fantastic, and fantastically priced. Incredible truffle Brussels sprouts. Perfectly prepared cast iron flank steak with succulent Hasselbeck potato.Cheapest Blanton whiskey shots in Nashville!Outdoor seating super pupper friendly

Others have told the tale of Kevin. I have mine own Kevin story- this humble, awesome, guy. He told us a great story about the place, the former owners, the history of where Van Gogh’s was. You all probably know about how Van Gogh cut his ear off, what you might not know, is so it can hear things. Hear me now : this is the best kept secret in East. It’s an affordable, alcohol-infused, maison de shenanigans.See you soon, Kevin & team!

Van Gogh's is wonderful! We have been for dinner and then had our wedding rehearsal dinner in the back patio and it was perfect! Food was amazing and was a great venue for our needs! Kevin was great to work with!

I absolutely adore this place. Kevin, the owner and chef, is one of the most genuinely lovely people I've had the pleasure to meet. The bar and service staff are always very cool and fun to be around. I love the atmosphere and decor. The wine, beer, and spirit selection is always awesome. And literally the entire menu is a must try for any food loving people out there. This place is definitely a silent but amazing destination in 5 Points.

Great wine, great atmosphere, and great food! Portions are large.

We had a really great experience! The staff was kind and the service was quick. The chef brought out our cheese plate and it was cool to see how passionate he is about the food he his serving. 10/10 will definitely be making this a regular stop. Prices were very reasonable too.
