Food was delicious, best fried oysters I have had even off the coast of Texas...amazing Cole slaw and hush puppies too. it was soon good we left nothing behind..and ordered a banana pudding to go. definitely will be back the next time we visit Nashville.
This place is overrated. Firstly, I ordered my food online for curbside pickup. I was waiting for them to come out, and after a while I had to call in to remind them that I was outside. I ordered the catfish and chicken tender combo. The food was just warm and didn’t even look fresh. The taste was just as bad as the look. The fish tasted old, bready and had absolutely no seasoning. The chicken tenders were bland. The white beans look gross and the potatoes were as bland as they look. The best thing on the plate was the pickle. I can’t believe I spent $20 on this!
Food was outstanding but our server was not so great. But I highly recommend trying this place, you wont be disappointed.
This is a hidden treasure in Nashville! This small restaurant will give you all the comforts of good country catfish and fried chicken. Trust me this is one stop you Must make if you are in the Nashville area!!
Eating the catfish or the fired chicken is the toughest decision you'll have to make cause they are both very, very good. This place stays busy and they don't have oodles of seating so arrive early...and hungry. Sides are family style, all you can eat of cole slaw, navy beans and onion/pickle. You get additional sides with your order. Listen, the fried chicken is some of the juiciest, tenderest and tastiest you can find anywhere and it's not greasy. Catfish is thick fillets (or whole) fried light and crispy. Hushpuppies are very good. It's a local favorite and we make a special effort to eat there when in Nashville.
I ordered a Bayou platter with a side of gator tail the platter only came with 6 pieces of gator tail and the side came with about 10. When called back to ask about portions the manager Brittany said everything was measured by weight and it usually comes with 10 pieces. For $8.95 I would hope to get more then 10 pieces or it be listed it’s measured by the weight. For $46.53 I’d hope to have gotten a bigger portion.

It was my first time here, and it was a wonderful experience. The waitress was amazing, the food was delicious. And I flipping love hush puppies... they were so good. I will definitely be back!!!
Catfish and chicken with unlimited sides. Southern hospitality at its best. This is a family restaurant and worth the wait. Check wait times on line to get your name in ahead of arrival. Parking available. You will not leave hungry.
We were visiting Nashville for the NWTF conference and wanted to have some seafood. My boyfriend suggested Uncle Bud’s Catfish Shack. He had been there a couple of years ago. It was the best experience. The food was delicious. I had the alligator bites and my boyfriend had the chicken and catfish. We can say enough about the fixens . YUM! The place was extremely busy and the staff was above excellent...Very friendly and welcoming. Our server RaShaun was outstanding. I tell everyone about how much we loved Uncle Buds. Thank you to the entire staff.
