Would not recommend coming here. Today is Saturday May 14th and some crazy person threw me on the ground while I was on the outside patio and started screaming at me. I ran inside to escape the harassment and this man followed me inside and started shoving me. The bouncer then starts to remove me out of the bar while I’m trying to escape this deranged man attacking me, and somehow I’m in the wrong? So, I decide to go next door to Play, pay the cover, and see the same bouncer in the other bar. I had paid for drinks and guess what!!! They kicked me out of that bar as well. Such discrimination and utter nonsense for someone minding his own business only to be attacked and punched by someone who was drunk in the bar. Save yourself the time, not worth a trip.
Tribe is... hmm. Tribe is right next to play. Literally 3/4 of the gay bars in Nashville are on this one street. Whereas PLAY is large, boisterous, and for dancing, Tribe is chill and more of a lounge vibe. It seems more like a pre-game spot, even on the weekend. Each time I've been it's very sparsely populated. I'm not going to comment on the diversity because it's Nashville so... lol. They serve food here, but I've never eaten it. It's renovated and has a large back patio area with 2 levels and a mural. The music is good. I think they show music videos on the screens. It usually doesn't have a cover. Overall, it's pretty uninteresting to me. The last time I went was for halloween weekend and no-one was dancing, but I didn't want to spend 20 bucks to go to play. I ended up leaving Tribe because it was dull. I mean halloween weekend is like THE weekend for gays. How is it dull? So, I ended up sneaking into play lol.
Nice and clean bar with a beautiful outdoor area. One of the best in Nashville!
Noticed this guy being attacked outside of the bar in the back patio for no reason… bar staff kicked him out and defended the attacker. Not coming back here
The bartenders are sweethearts, and the patrons are interesting to talk to; in short, it's a terrific setting. The meal is decent pub grub. If you're a fan of drag or lgbtq culture in general, you won't want to miss their special events.
Visited from out of town. Great if your White! After being ignored 3 rounds to order a drink. Bartender acted like he didn't see me even though he acknowledged me before. If you're racist you just proved it. Glad I flipped him off and left.
It was my first time here and you didn't disappoint AT ALL... great show, music and drinks. Very recommended ?
The bartenders are sweethearts and the customers are fun to chat with, in short great atmosphere. The food is good bar fare. If you are into drag or lgbtq culture in general their special events aren't something you'll want to miss.
Don’t go here if you don’t want to be served by TRUMP supporters. So much for a SAFE space.
Great place, and GREAT people ❤️❤️ happy new year! ?
