Yes they're on Broadway but they're a little bit more relaxed than some of the other hyped up places. Of course we had some friends whose last name is Valentine and we bought a T-shirt to send to them that was a mistake it was 36 bucks (no gift is a mistake) otherwise the drinks were great for the regular price they are on Broadway and the music was great and the staff was very courteous.
Stumbled into this place and glad we did. The entertainment was good and it was a little lower key than some of the surrounding venues. Ordered the nachos which were good as well. I would return.
I would not recommend this bar for any private event. I was going to rent out a floor for my wedding after party and decided to bring about 20 of my closest friends to experience the nightlife. We were having a great time on the 3rd floor, just dancing and minding our own business. In all of the fun, my friend's shirt accidentally ripped. He was still covered so we didn't think anything of it until a bouncer (a large man with a mullet) forcefully grabbed my 150lb friend to kick him out. My friend was not fighting the bouncer and complied to walk out, yet the bouncer still forcefully grabbed his shoulder and practically pushed him out of the door. He didn't even give my friend an option of putting on another shirt. At no point were my friends and I rude or belligerent. Some of us work in the service industry so we understand how difficult it is for service workers. Being a large group, we provided them with a lot of business, but our entire group ended up leaving -- which left the 3rd floor practically empty. Our requests to speak to a manager were denied. The bouncers that worked the night shift on May 29th were unreasonable and power hungry. The bouncer's use of unnecessary force could have really caused injury. As someone who lives in Nashville, I would recommend Tin Roof next door or Nashville Underground. I will not be back to this establishment.
What an amazing night we had. Live music, great atmosphere, fantastic staff. There was a real buzz about the place, not just from the band (Todd Cameron was amazing by the way), but generally. Definitely a go-to place if you're visiting.
Quite literally the BEST bar on Broadway. Their first floor windows open to Broadway so you can hear the whole band rock out from outside. Then they have 4 huge floors with different disco-cowboy decor and different music on each floor - Rock on the 1st floor, Acoustic on the 3rd floor for more of quiet vibe, and then the rooftop has a band and a DJ! The rooftop has one of the best views of Broadway because you get to look AT everything from both sides. The bartenders are so sweet and genuine; they complimented all my friends outfits and offered to take pictures for us! They had the best drink prices on Broadway and their food was better than most of the bar food downtown! We honestly just felt really comfortable and had no problem spending all day there! Will be back SOON!
In my recent trip to Nashville, I was a little disappointed by what I saw as a lack of the "live country" vibe that I have seen in past visits. Perhaps it was the time of year, but most of the places we visited had DJs and club music rather than true country singers. I also think this is more noticeable on the rooftops where the "main stage" floors still do more of the live band concept. As we walked up Broadway, we heard very few performers we wanted to stop for until we hit the Valentine! I had not heard of the Valentine and it was not as touristy and hip as some of the other joints named after famous musicians, but it had good music and good space to dance. The drinks were smaller but cheaper than what we found elsewhere. The band the night we visited was Stephen Paul and he did a great job of playing music that people wanted to hear. He had a great voice and seemed very talented. The place was packed by the time his set ended. The Valentine did have a rooftop but we were having so much fun downstairs that we didn't go up. They had a middle floor that overlooked the dance floor but not much seating there, so definitely smaller than most of the places we visited on our trip. Thanks for the true Nashville honky tonk vibe! We had a great time at the Valentine!
Catch us here watching the Georgia Bulldogs! This is a meeting spot for the UGA Alumni Nashville group and the bar has always been so great with service and quality of food. The menu is large and our food has always been delicious, think bar food like wings and fries, etc. The first floor has lots of tvs plus a stage area with live music, the second level is sometimes closed off if they aren't busy, but you will find us hanging out on the third level that is focused more on game day tvs, a large projection screen, and always has the dedicated UGA fans getting there early to grab the best seats. Great sports bar, great bartenders and servers, so check it out for your next game.
The live music is next level over most of the strip. I’d pay big money for a mezzanine seat but the second floor was closed. Seriously. 200-300 for a table easy. The Kyle Austin and was incredible. The woman in that band could sing me the damn phone book. I wish the bouncers had the option to open the second floor to those who are willing and able to pay for it.I was in town for 4 nights and spent 3 at the valentine. I tried a lot of places before settling here. Well worth the fight
Great music, great bartenders awesome place.
Came to town last week for a conference and brought a large group of customers here. We had a blast. It was our favorite spot on the strip and best service we got anywhere in town all week long. Amber & Edik killed it, were so sweet, and did an incredible job taking care of us! I highly recommend them. Only downside was the company will only let me tip so much!
