It was awesome. Out of town coMpany loved it!
first it was a little bit of a shock when we thought we were going to a private home so that kind of threw us off, the food was good it just wasn't what we were expecting
So glad we made reservations!! I tried the pimento cheese, bacon omelette and it was delicious. Gouda grits are a must!!! So yummy.
Our server didnât warn me that the hot chicken was going to be slathered in sauce. I was expecting crispy with spices, like most places that serve hot chicken. It was disgusting. I ate the biscuit but the chicken was nasty. Thankfully, we had ordered a biscuit basket, so I didnât leave hungry. If I came back, Iâd steer far away from the chicken. The AC was also not that great, given it was a hot day, but leaving the front door open didnât help.
The cafe is a quaint little house, that was old and felt dingy and smelly. The food was good, shrimp and grits tasted good but was more like soup as the grits werenât thick enough, overall it was good friendly service. I just couldnât get over the smell, the dining area and bathrooms didnât feel clean, and there was always a line for the bathroom as they only have two. Iâd probably go back, but would only eat outdoors, the inside just felt cramped and dingy.
Considering that jam is their specialty, the food and service are just as great!!!
Restaurant and outdoor seating area were beyond dirty. I have never been in a restaurant as dirty.
We sat outside on benches. I ordered an omelette an potatoes. The omelette was good. The potatoes were more like a casserole which didn’t have any taste. The waitress told us that couldn’t split a bill for a group, but the owner gave us a solution. Overall, nothing special.
We were there for a bachelorette party and the food was great and the service was wonderful! Thank you!
It was average. Not bad. Not great.
