Best food during our trip, best service as well! Great bfast…biscuits, gravy, potatoes, all the meats and great coffee and mimosas as well! Everything was hot and delicious, served with a side of funny. Can’t wait to go for supper!
First off shout out to Maria, best waitress in the world. She recommended the Fried chicken, pulled pork, hash brown casserole, and corn. Get these items. They are amazing. The chicken was delicious the pork was out of this world. The biscuits start coming to the table when you are seated. The are light, fluffy, and beautiful. There is a little shopping area and a place to get drinks while you wait. Make sure you get here while in Nashville. It’s about a 20 minute drive from the city.
We were going to ride the Natchez Trace, on a motorcycle, and what better way to start then here? Well I would say don’t bother. We went for breakfast and I ordered the half order of ham and eggs, because based on prior experience a full order would be more ham than I could eat, but not here! The ham was only as thick as apiece of bacon, calling it ham is a stretch. In addition they charge $3.50 for a cup of coffee which is no better than gas station coffee. I must admit the biscuits were delicious, warm and fluffy, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that this place relies on historical relevance than current desire to make money.
Biscuit had good FLUFFY texture. Needs butter. Foodies apply. Green tomatoes are FANTASTIC; avoid the pimento cheese if you are sensitive to Red Bell Peppers or Lactose intolerant. We were here because we were on our way back from Baptist Dickson where the restaurants are DRY on a monumental family visit. Wonderful to try the smoky pulled pork [no sauce] and their fried chicken fillet, HASHBROWN CASSEROLE to write home about. Could have skipped the Mac N Cheese if you typically prefer GOUDA or THREE CHEESE. Okra was great. Locals DO eat here. Pro tip: Do the Sampler to try everything and take the table offered biscuits back to wherever you are staying for a nice country breakfast your next morning, try see if they have any lids for the preserve cups. They stacked them pretty high.
Service was superb - our waitress was lovely. Food was very good. Biscuits tasted good (I'm not necessarily one of those who think they are the BEST, but they were very good quality). The restaurant offers reservations and recommend you snag one if you can, because it is very popular. However, if you can't and need to wait for a seat, there is plenty to do in the surrounding shops, etc. while you wait. Ample parking, close to Belle Meade and Cheekwood. Restrooms in the restaurant were nice and clean, and there are also single stall restrooms available outside in the shops area. Recommend a visit!
We were in Nashville on vacation and this popped up in a search for places to eat and I’m glad it did. This is a must go to place the food is excellent and the staff is wonderful. You walk in and you feel welcome. A must go to place. We can’t wait to go back.
Just perfect! Cozy location, best biscuits, delicious food, good service, we loved it! I will definitely go there again when I come back to Nashville.
Everything about this place is iconic. Drove an hour to get here and I would have driven more and will again. Lots to do here and not just eat. Take the time before or after your meal to stroll the grounds. Before heading that direction see if you can get a reservation on OpenSeat. There can be a wait, but it's worth every minute for what you are about to eat!! Play a game of cornhole, take a photo and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings. When you get in the cafe, eat your weight in biscuits and jam, but save room for an amazing meal - try a sampler to get the full experience. We loved our chicken and waffle with a side of BBQ and the Music City Sampler. Even though we were stuffed, we still ordered the banana pudding and key lime pie. Took lots of leftovers home. Our server, Victoria, was the bomb! She shared so many fun stories about the property and about guests who have come back to visit each year. This was definitely one of my favorite things in Nashville to date and I am sure will stay at the top of my list. Before you leave, take a photo at the iconic Loveless Cafe and Motel sign - this neon sign sees over a half a million visitors each year.
Came all the way from Canada to have the famous biscuits and gravy (which I’ve never tried before) and they were to die for!! I’d go back in a heart beat. My heart and belly were so full leaving loveless
Great food at decent price, highly recommend
