I've been to approximately 10 tasting menus across the globe, including Europe, and this was the best by far. It featured 19 courses plus a cookie dough cupcake for my friend's birthday. We did the drink pairing, which included approximately 10 drinks. I absolutely loved this place.

Great experience start to finish. The meal was well paced so you did not have to wait a long time for the next delicious bites. With so many courses you would think there would be one that was not very good -- not at Catbird. They were all excellent. Highly recommend!

One of the most interesting, intriguing, and enjoyable tasting menus I've had in my life. Amazing seat at the table, felt like we were watching performance art. My wife had the wine pairing which was super interesting and great addition. I had the non-alcholic drink pairing which was absolutely delicious, kinda like specialty kombuchas at times, highly recommend trying it!

I couldn’t tell what was more impressive- the food, or the most organized kitchen service I’ve ever witnessed. I can appreciate the time and effort that was put into every bite. For me it was 23 courses, all delicious. It will be a dining experience other restaurants are now going to be compared to.

I had an AMAZING time. Honestly, I didn't expect to truly enjoy it, we went for my wife's birthday on March 24th, but it was impeccable. The food was stunning. Don't listen to anyone complaining of small portions in the reviews. There are 15 courses of some of the most expensive foods. I don't think those complaining know much about truffles, waygu beef, or the like. The staff were all delightful. Made some new friends, and we almost got Mulan sing-along going.I literally can't say enough good things. I even exploded a doughnut full of something akin to a custard, but with the consistency of hollandaise on my beard, shirt and lap. It was 100% my fault, but the woman in the bronze dress insisted on helping me and that it wasn't my fault and offered me soda water, etc. The chef from Greece was talented and we ended up having some great conversation.Basically I had a wonderful time, and the staff made it even better.

Really enjoyable experience. I do wish the wines in the wine pairing weren’t all white/light. Would have loved a wider variety and some nice reds as well. Also I got my course and wine mixed up and I wish they would have topped off my glass of wine so I could have tasted the pairing with the meal. Instead, since I finished the glass before the second pairing they just took the glass and left me with water for a course. The meal was a lot of fun and delicious. Wine pairing needs some help, in my opinion.

Best meal I’ve had in years. Started with a drink downstairs. Someone kindly guided us upstairs once we were ready. The service and food was impeccable. The dishes were creative and fantastically tasty. The staff was accommodative to our vegetarian diet.

Absolute best dining experience in my life! Everything was exquisite!! From the hostess to the wine experts and the Chefs! Highly recommended..

CatBirdSeat had been on my list for quite some time so I was super excited when I was able to score a reservation for 1. Unfortunately, when you try to book via Tock, it does not allow you to select for 1 person, so I called and left a voicemail and within 2 days I received a phone call whereby my reservation was then processed. Thanks Aaron!Prior to your arrival, they contact you regarding any food allergies and while I do not have any allergies per se, I have not consumed red meat or pork in over 20+ years, so it is safe to assume, an allergy has probably developed. Nonetheless, CBS accommodated me and I was very appreciative. When you arrive, there is not a sign for CatBirdSeat, so you check in at the podium located inside The Patterson House, which looks super cool and is on my list for my next visit! When they are ready for you, the hostess will walk you back outside, into a side door and up the elevator to the 2nd floor where all of the seats are placed around the chef's counter. Besides the chef's counter, the only other seating is a cute leather banquette situated in a corner that is reserved for a party of 4.As soon as I was seated, I knew I was in for a spectacular evening as the music was pumping with a good mix of 70's-90's music at a perfect decibel and it made for a fun evening. As I bopped my head to the beats, I was presented with a welcome tea and almost immediately, the service began. Every single dish was presented in creative serving bowls and plates and the delivery and presentation of each dish was delivered with aplomb. While every dish was simply delicious, I particularly enjoyed the sweet potato fish with matcha and I am not normally a fan of matcha. The shrimp and grits with truffles was served in a huge warm bowl and I wanted to lay my face on the bowl, it felt so good! The staff was excellent and attentive and I cannot wait to come back as the menu changes often depending on what fresh and local ingredients are available.

Absolutely amazing! We did the 12 course dinner and executive chef Brian Baxter put together an unbelievable meal. It is so good we can not name which part of the sitting was our favorite. The supporting staff and chefs made the experience unforgettable. We will be back.
