I am only posting this review because I emailed Stoney River after our negative dining experience and no one ever responded. My brother, sister-in-law (who live in Nashville) and husband dined at Stoney River on 4/25/22. We had given my brother a gift card for his 60th birthday. Our server was very green...he informed me that the entree I ordered was not available AFTER I ordered it. He forgot our drinks and had to be reminded to bring them. My SIL and I had the salmon (each with different sauce) and both were flavorless. My brother and husband each had a filet and both were awful. Our server never checked back with us to see how we were doing, never offered us another round of drinks and never offered us dessert (a fatal error on his part as he missed an opportunity to increase his check total). There was a manager walking around who never came over to ask us how our meal was. All in all a crappy dining experience, but who cares really? This is a popular place in a popular part of town and no one really reads reviews now do they?
My husband and I had a date night dinner at Stoney River and truly enjoyed it. I had asked for an intimate table when I made the reservation, and I was not disappointed. The service and our meal were just right. The previous time we had eaten at Stoney River, we were less than pleased, so I was happy that things were better again. We've loved Stoney River for a long time!
Took out the family for an adult bday tonight. Excellent service (ask for Elijah's section you won't be sorry). Excellent selection of bourbon, some hard to find. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better dinner, this is a must visit steak house if you haven't been, and once you have you'll be back.
10/10. Food was delicious and the portions were surprisingly larger than expected. Pecan crusted trout, steak rolls, shrimp on country toast and spinach dip. Calming environment and friendly staff.
We had a fabulous experience at Stony River for Valentine’s Day!! Our waitress was AMAZING!! The temperature of the restaurant was perfect which is so important to me to be able to enjoy my meal! I actually was able to take my jacket off which I feel like I haven’t been able to do in restaurants much lately. The food was awesome. If you order an appetizer, definitely recommend the deviled eggs….so good. Wonderful dinner and wonderful service:)
Three couples in our group, we arrived early and had some amazing mixed drinks at the bar. We were seated on time and Johnathan was our server, very knowledgeable and down to earth guy. Had a few jokes, knew lots of Nashville history and was very honest about the menu and what was best. The Whiskey shrimp appetizer is fantastic, I may order 2 or 3 next time and make it my meal. The steak rolls with the spicy ranch dip - just as fantastic. Lobster Bisque - OMG. Of course the steaks were prepared just as perfectly!
$41 ribeye steak tasted average but was overcooked. Steak was supposed to come with a potato but I found out later that I was charged $7 for my baked potato. I could have complained the steak but it was a special occasion and I didn’t want to complain. The steak wasn’t even hot/warm enough to melt the butter on top of it. Way overpriced food. The carrot cake was great as usual. $137 for 2 people with no alcohol is too much.

The food here was good. The place is very nice. Stuff was amazing. A little high price but great for a date night and good food. There drinks are very good as well.
Omg this place was wonderful!!! I even had my 2 little one again 2 and 4, so you could imagine how restaurants go for us... but this place is a must. Beautiful decor, nice staffing, peaceful environment, and last but not least food delicious!!! Although, I feel the appetizer menu could use a little boost.i give this place an 8 out of 10 a must go!!!
