A fabulous feast with friendly service. This is going to be a regular spot.
This place was very disappointing. The food had no flavor. The server was definitely not a people person.Service was mediocre at best. Not rude but borderline.Entrees are too pricey for lunch time.Food came out pretty fast.Buffet is advertised, however buffet was not offered that day.The place has not been updated since 1986.There are more flavorful Indian food restaurants in and around NashvilleI will not return.
First time back at Sitar since before Covid. It was a little disappointing. The food was average. In the past I would have scored it a 4 or 5 star but this time it was not deserving. Maybe next time.
Excellent Indian cuisine! Super fast service. The reservation I made wasn’t necessary, to my surprise.
We’ve been eating at or ordering take out from sitar for over 25 years. Been awhile since we dined in the restaurant but were celebrating so thought it would be fun. There were plenty of open tables yet they crammed us beside another table in the corner who was loud. Service was kind but abrupt. We were served 3 courses in less than 30 minutes time and they kept wanting to clear the table while some of us were still eating. You would have thought there were people waiting or they were about to close. Neither the case. Food was excellent but would have liked more time to enjoy each course.
Food was good and service was great. I was not overly impressed however and probably will not go back anytime soon.
I placed a lunch order as typically at the place I normally order from has a substantial lunch entree size for the same price, but they were closed. I had to order a side of rice when typically rice comes standard with the dish I ordered. So imagine my surprise when I get my order and the $13 entree is the side of a side dish, and the side of rice is 3 times bigger. It isn't even 8 Oz. Per my photo, the white container is the rice and the tiny container is the pathetic excuse for an entree.
Not worth it. Customer service was not great and food is not good. I felt sorry for the non Indian customer at this restaurant since they were missing out on actual Indian food.
If you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine in the Nashville area, Sitar is the place for you!! The staff is always friendly and fast. And the food is delicious and made to your specifications. I for one will continue to frequent this establishment.
The food was bland and that’s pretty hard to do with Indian. Seriously , was like baby food! HAHA! Wow!Waiter/Owner was extreme rude. Was rushing us all out. Trying to take our plates before finished. Brought us to go containers mid meal. Never refilled our waters. Our table was quiet and respectable, because .. really why make a fuss?Is this place under new ownership? Use to be better.
