BORN AND RAISED HERE AND IM ASHAMED THAT I NEVER TRIED THIS WOMAN FOOD! Literally live 3 mins from the building.The food was amazing!! My husband and I ate there for breakfast. He got chicken wings eggs and potatoes with a roll. I got fried pork chops , potatoes and sweet corn. I’m so mad I didn’t get a pictures of it. But goodness it was amazing!!! The staff is friendly as well. Definitely worth the money and the wait time.

Silver Sand food is good. The wait can be long so do yourself a favor and call your order in. The place is clean ; food is hot fresh. The Owner make sure she puts out quality food. I also appreciate all the staff and the sweet young lady that run the cashier. Looking for good Soul Food it's worth the while and you get your money worth . The Good...if you are looking for some real home cooked food that will have you in a food coma this spot is it.However there are definitely AREAS OF OPPORTUNITY that needs work.As a frequent customer I experienced the restaurant temporarily locking its doors to allow the staff to switch from breakfast to lunch. We arrived at 10:58am. A sign stated "doors will open at 11:15am".Patrons patiently waited. 11:25am and doors are still locked. No staff to come out and tell us anything.11:35am still no open doors. By this time, people are leaving because they only have either an hour or 30 minutes for lunch or they went elsewhere.Finally, the doors open at 11:47am.One gentleman said thank you all for waiting. By then it was only a handful of us.This was an opportunity to offer a complimentary meal, drink, and/ or dessert for those patrons that waited. It shows that you care about customer loyalty and sorry for the inconvenience.Suggestions: No matter if this was caused by a staffing shortage or just poor planning or whatever the excuse was at the time maybe it's better to close the doors from 1030 to 11:30 AM (whatever time you choose)update your website and any signage on the hours. That way your staff can swap out the food or take a break. Until you are able to work out the logistics of transitioning breakfast to lunch menu.
I ordered a liver plate, then I waited almost 20 minutes just for them to put potatoes on the plate..went to the cash register ready to pay I was the only one standing there So I was asking can someone check me out?? Some lady I guess was the owner Just start YELLING SAYING THEY CAN'T SKIP PLATES I'm looking around like I'm the only one here right here sweetie...Being very very unprofessional and disrespectful But you know that's how your own people do. She never have to worry about me coming back the food was not good no way the potatoes was old and liver was hard.. Bad attitude!

We came in from Cincinnati for the football game and asked for a soul food spot. They opened about 15 mins after posted signage but I will say it was worth standing in line waiting to be let in. Everything was on point
