Great happy hour- 25% off all small plates and $5 cocktails! The peaches with homemade ricotta made for the perfect summer starter. Bacon wrapped shrimp and mushroom risotto are always our go to favorite. Love having Sea Salt in Hendersonville!

The food is okay, but it’s definitely a place for low-end beach food right off the beach (swimsuits and all) rather than a higher-end beach experience. I don’t know why I expected more of a beach club vibe, but that’s why I’m letting others know to keep your expectations in check. We thought we were in the wrong place when we first arrived. The location is great, but parking is $20 during the season, so keep that in mind. I got fish and chips, and my husband got the lobster roll. Expect walk-up ordering and food served on plastic trays. Our beers were lukewarm, and only cans of beers are offered. We ordered speciality cocktails afterward, and they were better. Definitely recommend cocktails over beer simply because at least they’ll be served over ice. In summary, it’s okay if you happen to be on this end of Jones Beach, but not worth driving over specifically to eat here, which we did.

Excellent food. The menu has rotation for variety, everything was Very fresh and tasty. The compositions are thoughtful. The portions are not huge but sufficient.I had swordfish over wild grain with grilled zucchini. The dish was a tad spicy imo... really wanted to enjoy the freshenness of it all and the heat slightly overwhelmed. Still very good. The staff took time to inform me on the origin of the ingredients which I found interesting. My partner had redfish over couscous, which were both delicious. Didn't blow my socks off, but zero complaints either. The appetizer we had was a seafood tower with cocktail shrimp, raw oysters, muscles, and tuna tartar. All of which tasted wonderful. The sauces were great too. Only complaint was the little garlic bread (crouton?) Was so hard that my teeth hurt for five minutes after trying to bite it in two... Not sure what was up with that. But that was an outlier to the rest of the meal. The only other complaint I had was the decor is a bit confusing. I know, that's picking, but that's what I got. Drop ceiling with glass balls hanging (bubbles? If so, please mix up the heights more for the illusion of depth), grey laminate flooring. Honestly reminded me of my kid's dentist office. Felt overdressed. There seemed to be live piano on the other side of the place though, so maybe that was just overflow seating? Dunno. Don't let that complaint put you off though. Friendly people and great food.Would gladly eat there again.

A very special gem of a place! Wonderful atmosphere with a live piano player. Whimsical decor. Curated menu with many seafood options. We enjoyed the ceviche, cheese board, oysters, shrimp scampi, mahi with couscous and ratatouille, and scallops with gouda grits. Still plenty other options on the menu to go back and try.

What a great place! From the small plates all the way to dessert, just wonderful!!! The Shrimp small plate was so good we ordered a second. For the main course I had the special which was Halibut and Shrimp. My wife had the Salmon. Both were perfect!!! Great price on small plates before 6 but you'll want to stay to hear the piano player. Also Mike the waiter was as good as they get.

It was the first time to this new place. Wonderful atmosphere and good job converting it from the old Fuji restaurant. The freak margarita was wonderful but a bit smaller than I thought. The beet salad was great although I would forgo the crème for more beets. The salmon was cooked to perfection with rice. I would have put the asparagus on the side to slice and eat instead of on top of the rice. The brown butter sauce was not necessary. Overall I would come back for a date night with my hubby. Prices were higher than usual. I was able to get the cocktail and salad at a reduced happy hour place. Bonus: the piano player on the other side I did not know was there until I went to the ladies room so maybe that should be listed on the table w the special events as. Thanks Rico! You are a great server.

Our first and last visit to Sea Salt. We read the reviews...highly recommended. For $200 dinner for two, here was our experience. We reserved our table two days in advance. We entered the restaurant viewing the main room with live piano music playing. We were shown our table in the adjoining room.....no music. Attached is a picture of our view. The room was large and boring. Tables were spaced out for privacy, but little if any ambiance. We met our waiter who wanted to tell us about the menu....fine. He spoke for almost 10 minutes non-stop rambling on about Oysters from the east coast....we didn't even want oysters. Should have just let us read the menu and ask questions. Menu was SHORT. Two fish plates and a couple of shrimp offerings. One $44 filet and one steak and fries entre. Sorry, this menu does not equate to the 2nd best restaurant in Hendersonville. We ordered the salmon and the filet. Salom was tasty and the filet was very good. Very good wedge salad, but it was the only offering with lettuce. Again, menu is way below even average. Our surroundings were so boring and the prices were too high for what our experience delivered. And, how does live music only mean in some part of the restaurant. We were sadly dissappointed. We're still looking for great experiences in Hendersonville. Rosie's is an example of how a strip center restaurant can still deliver top food and experience. My two cents

This was an experience beyond all expectations. The first thing I noticed was the piano player pumping out mellow music. The staff was well informed about the menu and helpful on suggestions for wine pairings while also keeping the atmosphere light and relaxing. The food is absolutely phenomenal!! From the charcuterie appetizer to the peach cobbler, everything seemed to just melt in my mouth. This was an experience I will not forget. This is a great spot for date night, girls night out, business meals or just to have a next level dining experience. Go, you won't regret it.

Went for dinner on a Wednesday. Service was great. The atmosphere leans towards an upscale beach seafood place but with a piano player. The daily changing menu entrees were few. Mostly seafood as you can imagine but some chicken and a burger as well. The fantastic salmon dip set the bar high, however our main dishes didn't quite live up. In hindsight I think I would have been better off ordering a few items from the small plate over time with drinks and skipping the main salmon and wild rice dish. Give it a try I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself.

Sea salt has a great atmosphere with live piano music. It was a swanky, higher end date-night type place. To me, the food fell a bit short of expectations compared with the price. For example, I ordered the steak and oyster dish. The mushrooms were fairly tough and flavorless. I believe the steak was a NY strip. Some parts were tough and charred, some were tender and full of flavor. Bacon was a bit undercooked on the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer. Dessert was delicious and had great cocktails.
