We were here for bachelorette trip. We had one girl who had been drinking throughout the day (the bride). Another girl in the group tried to order a drink and we were told we can be served alcohol. Which we understood one girl had been drinking however this could have been explained and handled on a much different manner. We understood we had a person who had been drinking. We ordered our app. We sat for 15 min + without app plates and stopped another waitress to ask for some. Our food came out and the only water our waitress had filled was the person who had been drinking on the lake. I had to ask for the rest of the waters to be filled. The food was okay lets be mindful this is a sports bar on the lake. The service was absolutely awful. I managed a restaurant and this is absolutely not and okay way to treat people. Manager never came over to talk to us so it's also clearly poorly managed. The bride felt as if she was judged and her experience awful.
I’m super disappointed today with my Togo order I got The mac & cheese and it had some burnt pieces in it a half a slab of ribs they were extremely dry and also two of them didn’t even have meat on them it was just bone!! my chicken strips were soggy so soggy that when I pick them up and split them in have all the batter came off of the chicken they was also cold. They didn’t have any ranch or honey mustard I ordered a large pizza and they didn’t have the boxes so they cut it into to small boxes and not neatly but the pizza was the only thing good I got nachos and the cheese sauce was like water not cheese at all I gave two stars and not one is because I’ve gone here for years and love it but I’m super upset I just spent $60 and my food was mostly garbage.
We always have a wonderful time at Sam's Sports Bar & Grill at the Cove Marina . The food is always good, and the service is great. Cheers to the staff, for the best !connection.
Service and food was great, it was little bit of wait due to many costumers on Sun but everything was organized and neat. We got spinach dip with tortilla and Santa fe chicken which both was perfect, they have happy hours 3 to 7pm Mon to Fri and you can get beers 1/2 price. I was thinking it'll be a good place at night as well. So I recommend to try this place at least once. They have a something like gazebo you can wait there during busy hours to be seated, I'll attach our food to this review
My husband and I went here for lunch middle of the day on a Thursday. 25 min wait. Not much staff I get it. Took a long time to get our drinks to the table. They arrived right before the food. My husbands burger was the monster burger. What was brought out was a cheeseburger. No big deal. We politely sent it back. What the cook did was instead of giving my husband a new bun or burger all together that didn’t have mayo or mustard on it he left it. He made a Frankenstein burger with the left over parts from the cheeseburger. He put jalapeños on top of the already melted cheeseburger. Then a new piece of cheese on top followed by the bacon (which was tough as leather) and bbq sauce. The fries were cold and tasted like fish sticks. They probably don’t change the oil too much and the burger was luke warm too by the time it returned to the table. The waitress asked how it was and my husband said not good. There was no attempt to make it right after that. Not to mention the glasses our drinks came in were dirty! This is sad we were here before the pandemic and this was the second time. It’s sad to see how far gone this place is. You stare at million dollar yachts while eating subpar food. Careful of the railing too it’s very old and not well anchored. Other than that it’s not too bad if you don’t mind ducks and dogs in the restaurant with you. The ducks were running around under the tables in between our feet. Will never eat here or recommend this place to anyone. We still tipped 20%. Don’t why anyone would spend $15 on a burger at this place when five guys is down the street. Cold hard reality. No need to send me the same generic message you’ve sent everyone else. Look at how much attrition there has been in management and you will know all you need to about this place.
While it was on the edge of the off season, it's clear why the place was busy. The service is great the beer is cold the food is tasty. I had a French dip and with the addition of horseradish sauce it was one of the best in recent memory. I look forward to going back in the middle of summer time when it's busy and we're setting on the dock enjoying another cold one!
Anywhere you sit has a view of the water. The food was all really tasty.I had the French Dip, sweet and spicy wings, onion rings. Crunchy where it should be, soft where you expect it.It's connected to a marina with boat slips and rentals. We will definitely be back.
Cool place right on Old Hickory Lake. Indoor & outdoor dining. Nice bar! Great food! Fair prices. Lots of TVs for sports viewing. Service was a bit slow but atmosphere made up for it.
Great service! Great food! Great vibe!
They were short staffed but the service and good was outstanding.
