Good food got it Togo but it sat for 15 min on the counters as I waited to get someone to check me out . Also had an odd smell inside the restaurant. Like old beer in carpet and musky. Food however was really good

Almost everyone in this place had gray hair… gives you a sense of the ambiance. It also smelled like chemicals as soon as we opened the door. Service was fine and food was perfectly acceptable. But if you are looking for a cool place with good food, this is not it.
We decided to try a new place for dinner and it was pretty good. The servers seemed to be in the weeds so our appetizer and kid’s meal came out with our food. We got the Farmhouse salad, Bourbon Street Pasta, a kid’s meal, and dessert. The pasta was bland but luckily the brownie saved the entire meal for me. I’d go back and only get that brownie!
We've always loved this location until our last visit. Bartender was less than stellar. Food was still very good,, but service counts for a lot. It'll be a while before we go back.
Edit: We have dined at Sam's many, many times and tonight we had our appetizer come out after our meal. Didn't have a manager come by or anything. Disappointing to say the least. After that error our server just kinda disappeared. Forgot us on refills which has always been so good at Sam's. Seeing things that need to be done and taking care of them before asked. Not sure if there has been a change in management but something is different.Old post:Sam's has some great pizza! Premium toppings and it comes out quickly after ordering.
While visiting Nashville, we stopped at Sam's Place for a late lunch. The place was very relaxed with good background music from the 70's and 80's. I had Sam's House Salad with salmon. Delicious as well as reasonably priced. The salmon was cooked as well as at highly priced restaurants. Hubby got the chicken tender basket which turned out to be LARGE, hand breaded Southern Fried Chicken tenders. He thoroughly enjoyed them. Our waitress, Sarah, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed visiting with her.
It was exactly what I expected. Good food. Solid drink and this place is never not busy. The owners have a good thing going here and if you’re looking for the home town feel but with a nice sports lounge feel I this will satisfy you.
Excellent food, pizza is great.Spinach dip is awesome. Reubens are very good. Service and staff have always been great
