The pizza is decent attempt at wide slice NY style. The tall gentleman working behind the counter was quite rude; I'll spare you from reading a long story and keep it brief by saying he had extremely poor customer service. Maybe he was having a bad day but he treated me like there was something I did that upset him from the moment I walked through the door.
Really yummy authentic Italian food!!! We order delivery and with my father and grandfather's family being from Naples Italy I'm very particular and what type of Italian food I eat what style pizza restaurant has really great Fresh Foods I highly recommend trying this place!! We've tried the regular pizza and a Sicilian pizza everything was Super Fresh!
Went in during dinner time around 2 days ago with about a group of 6 friends we ordered and although the food was a little expensive but it was definitely worth it. The server was extremely kind and was always vigilant could not have had a better place to have ended our night. Thanks for the great experience!
Excellent, it was delivered hot and tasty. I lived closed to Sal's in hermitage for many years and ordered pizzas or calzones a couple of times a month and on weekends went into the restaurant. From 2000 to probably 2012 the quality was excellent, the staff great. When it changed hands the quality went down and I stopped eating there. I havent had food from there until a few days ago. The quality is once again great. Tastes just like it did in the early 2000's
First time trying the subs, it seems like they even make their own bread, it just had that homemade texture. Eggplant and chicken parm were very good. Fast prep for a Friday night at prime dinner time. ❤️?
Man, they used to have a great salad. Pretty disappointed in what I got today. Basically a to-go container full of lettuce, 3 pieces of mushroom, 2 cherry tomatoes,a sprinkle of cheese, and a few olives. I took it back inside to get more toppings and even then it was a fraction of what it should be. This is a $9 salad! And gave me ranch instead of blue cheese.
we ordered a cheese pizza and I swear it was probably one of the best cheese pizzas that I’ve ever had in my life. I highly recommend ordering from Sal’s incredibly delicious, otherworldly, best of the bless. C’mon guys, when you offer an oven baked Italian sub please make sure it’s close to being oven baked, was more bread than anything else cold and bland,, the house Italian dressing is bland oil with looks like a few spices mixed in, doesn’t taste like Italian dressing even a little bit! With the prices you charge please care a little bit more about the food you serve.
Is it the best pizza ever? No. But it is punching way above it's weight class considering it's sandwiched between two gas stations. Excellent hangover food!
I’m from N.J. originally, and Sal’s is equal to or better than anywhere I’ve been to from Memphis to Knoxville. The eggplant parm is always perfectly cooked. The meatballs are delicious and paired with the sweet sausage, make a meal of their own.If you’ve never been, shame on you!! If you want authentic Italian food, nowhere else compares. The plain oversized cheese pizza is a work of art! Don’t walk, run and get some now!!!
