First of all, the staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Everything we ordered came out really fast and steaming hot. And the portions, OMG, the portions here are huge!! Four people couldn't finish one guacamole and none of us finished our entrees. The dining room was clean, we were seated right away and the seating was comfortable.So what was wrong? ALL four entrees were bland to the point of tasteless. I'm not talking about a lack of "heat", I'm talking about food with all the pzazz of cardboard. Maybe it's a Nashville thing. I'm from Atlanta and in Atlanta Mexican food has flavor.
Refills severely lacking. Platos Carnitas lacking any flavor. Kids food was good enough it was demolished fast probably due to long wait. Slow on the food coming out, over an hour wait. margaritas are 5 star. spinach enchiladas with raw spinach. unflavored beans and rice.
It's been a while since I've eaten at Rosepepper, not because it's not great, but, because Nashville has a plethora of great restaurants. I started out with a House Margarita & chips. Moved on to the Chicken Tortilla Soup, & then the Rosepepper Special Enchiladas. Everything was so tasty, that I didn't want to stop eating, but my belly was SOOO full!
Good food, great service, great drinks! Visited while in town for work, will definitely return!
Being in the restaurant industry for 10+ years, it’s easy to take care of guests when things are going well and the guests are happy. But how you handle a situation when guests are upset/unhappy is the real test. I dined with my girlfriends over the weekend and with the server/manager on duty knowing how unhappy we were with how a situation was handled and just let us leave upset, means I will never be spending my money here again. I’ve dined here for years but never again. I will (unfortunately) spend my hard working money else where!!

Just no flavor at all! Margaritas was good but rice and beans were so bland. Fish tacos nothing great either although cheese dip was the best I've had in a long time. Been several times probably go back for drinks and maybe an cheese dip

This place has GREAT drinks, but the food is otherwise pretty okay. I've never had bad food there by any means, but never had amazing food either. However, it's worth it for the vibes and drinks. I think they're fairly priced.
Love RP! It also says something when the majority of their employees have worked there for YEARS!!. The food is solid all the time and the margaritas are the best. no Tums needed
