Thomas was phenomenal and I would go back for the cabbage alone. I tried the plantain French toast first as their brunch menu was the only food available, but found it bland. Next I tried the veggie roti and it was delicious! Highly recommend the cabbage and plantains.
Very much worth it. They serve Caribbean food from different nations and give authentic large portion sizes as well. The honey jerk chicken and the curry goat were excellent. We came for the oxtail, but they ran out already. The drinks were good as well. The only side I didn't like was the macaroni pie. It had a weird aftertaste, but the taste and love behind everything else still elevated this place to a 5. The decor was bright and exciting, and the music was right on brand.
I eat here on my off days from work, it’s about a block down from my house and the staff is all so nice! Easy to talk too and accommodating. The owner is also very generous. I walked in one time during a Sunday brunch rush hour (was unaware they even do brunch) and the line was out the door but the owner took care of me quickly, as all I needed was a bowl of rice. Also last week I had just adopted a new small dog named Wanda and she has major separation anxiety and I was for a one time only allowed to bring her with me in the patio area while I enjoyed a glass of wine and food! Everyone who works there is one of a kind and personable. The food is always on point and affordable for the amount they give you. I can never finish it and always have left overs for later! 10/10 I recommend this little gem to everyone I know.
I must say l am highly disappointed with the food today. Especially after paying a huge amount of money. I was served oxtails that was filled with bones, no meat and the food was way too salty. I received barely 5 mouthful of rice. I used to love this place, unfortunately l won't be coming back again. I expect to get good food especially after paying a lot of money. We didn't eat the food, went in the trash and bought else where.
I gave this place a try because of the reviews here. Disappointed! Half of the shrimps were old and dry, taste like old rubber. It feels like they mixed old unsold shrimps from days ago with newly cooked ones. You could clearly tell the difference by color and texture. Lamb is too salty, mostly bones, hardly much meat. Once I told the server about the shrimp not being fresh. She did not seem surprised or gave any apology. I had much better Jamaican food in the midtown restaurant nearly. Will never go back.
I have to say I usually don’t ever ever leave a review especially a bad one, but the food is terrible! And on top of that I asked for oxtail with rice and peas and a mango passion fruit drink and didn’t receive any of those items but the disappointing drink ?! I’m so highly disappointed because I was expecting so much from this place since my friends hyped it up! P.s don’t get it delivered, cause that was my mistake. Also I tried the chicken just to see if I would love it but HECK NO! I will go back to my spot once they fully open ?
I went this past weekend to get some of my favorite items and to my surprise there was a seated brunch, we were seated extremely quick amazing mimosas and drinks and I was over satisfied with my oxtails! Love this place and definitely enjoyed the twist on the brunch menu. I can’t wait to come back to try something else.

I came here for my birthday. The food was delicious and nice environment. Only thing I ordered ox tails and it was first thing in the morning and like 3 out 6 ox tails were tough. Maybe from the day before not sure. Don’t let that happen again. I will be back.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. This is one of the best places to eat in Nashville!
