Punk Wok has been on our list for a while and we finally got to try it out. We ordered quite a few dishes - Korean waffle fries, karaage, nigiri, sushi, edamame, and pork belly. The waffle fries are a must. So good! The karaage was good but the lemon mayo they serve it with was meh. The sushi was fresh and the edamame was perfect.Definitely worth checking out. The service is a little slow but solid spot overall.

Wow. I didn’t have any expectations coming in but left satisfied. The restaurant is super cozy with very limited seating. Make a reservation online well in advance! The food is excellent. Let’s run through them:Sichuan street noodles - this is the star of the night. These cold noodles are amazing. They have a little sesame flavor while having a little spicy kick on the back end. The dumpling sauce it is in is delicious and you will want to literally drink that sauce!Japanese style potato salad - this is just regular potato salad. Literally normal potato salad. I personally would pass on this next time.General tso’s cauliflower - yum. These small florets are breaded and fried really well. The sauce they give to dip it in is delicious. So tasty and refreshing.Jai li jiao- this was just a puff pastry with potato and chicken in it. The inside tastes exactly like normal chicken noodle soup. Another item I’d personally pass on next time.Korean waffle fries - the only thing Korean about this is the little kimchi on top. There is also ground beef on top which is just regular beef. The fries themselves are super fresh and crunchy. Personally, I would get it again just because it’s a good volume for the price.Karaage - fried chicken in bite size pieces is served with an excellent aioli. The chicken itself doesn’t look too appetizing, but it tastes a lot better than it looks.Pork belly - I enjoyed the quantity of pork belly given (about 7 pieces). It was super flavorful and was pretty tender. Definitely would get again. The whole meal was not bad - about $80 total!

Good vibe and decent service but wayyyy too expensive for what you get. We spent $100 for 2 people and had to walk across the street to 5 points because we were still hungry. The Rangoon was barely stuffed and the pork belly was delicious but a tiny portion. If this was half the price I may have a different opinion. They need to increase the portion size or reduce the price. We did not eat sushi so can’t comment on that portion of the menu.

Went for lunch and absolutely loved it! Sushi was fresh and flavorful! The house made soy sauce made all the difference. Not pictured was a caramel pot de creme dessert that was unreal! Can’t wait to go back!

I visited Punk Wok yesterday. I love Asian food so I wanted to give it a try. I ordered the pork belly to go and an order of spicy tuna nigiri (2 pieces) while I waited for the pork belly. I give it 4 stars and here's why:1 star for ambience. It's a really nice lil restaurant. Clean and appealing to the eye.1 star for service. The bartender was very nice polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and professional.1 star food quality. The sushi (spicy tuna nigiri) was excellent. Fresh and a spicyness that leaves a slight tingle in your mouth butdefinitely not too spicy. The pork belly was pretty good just a dinky amount of it for the price..5 stars for quantity. The sushi was decently sized, however the pork belly was puny for $13. This place is a finger food style restaurant. Think tapas. You'll have to order a few items on the menu to get a meals worth..5 stars for price. $13 for a slice and a half of pork belly seems high to me. No rice included. I luckily was there at happy hour where the sushi was 50% off so my 2 pieces of spicy tuna only cost $3.50. They also charged me $1.30 for a togo fee for a prayer bag, a few napkins, and a set of chopsticks.I would go here again with a friend during happy hour for sure and get a few different menu items for the experience but not for a takeout meal.

Sat down to happy hour with high hopes for decent sushi and a cool vibe.Miss on both counts for me.Just take a look at the rice. Feels like it was overcooked and smashed together with a hydraulic press. Big no-no. Scallop, normally my favorite, was really fishy. As for portions/value, we ordered a lot then went next door to eat because we were still hungry.Service wasn’t great, but I guess they’re new and so I’m guessing they’re still getting the team up to speed.Oh well, the search continues…

Food was amazing, cocktails yummy. service excellent

Fabulous local restaurant in Nashville! The sushi roll of the day is some of the best sushi I’ve had in Nashville, and their other dishes are fabulous as well. They put their own spin on everything they serve. The service was excellent and the staff could not have been nicer. Great food, great ambience, great times! 10/10 will be eating here once a week.

most definitely the staff, couldn't ask more a better waiter/waitress. everyone was very friendly and hospitable.

Such delicious food, awesome atmosphere (punk & funk playlist!) and great service. Be sure to try any of the sushi, lamb street skewers, edamame (that probably sounds weird, but it was honestly the best I’ve ever had b/c of their special salt blend), General Tso’s cauliflower, pork belly, karaage, and street noodles. Can’t wait to go back and try more! Thanks for bringing sushi to Sylvan Park! ??
