We stopped by after hitting the water park all day. We were pleasantly surprised. Everyone was super friendly, the owner (I believe) came out and spoke with us while we waited for our food. The fried catfish was delicious, best I’ve had in awhile. The pulled pork bbq and Mac & Cheese are a MUST! Bonus, awesome view of the lake and great atmosphere!
It was early October, 2018. We were on a musical tour of the South and stopped in here to celebrate my sister's birthday (Party of 8.) The food, atmosphere and sense of family were all amazing. The location is lovely, right on the lake, overlooking the marina. Live music (seemed to be a family band that night) added the right touch. Lots of fun and family-friendly.
It's been quite a while since I've been (It's about an 800 mile drive away) but all I can say is 5 stars on everything. The food was very tasty. The crew was very friendly. And awesome live music. It's like eating a home cooked meal, at home of course, and having live music in your house.
Slap my momma these Ribs were amazing!!!!! Meat so tender and juicy.. and live music featuring a 3-man BLUES band from Austin.RIBS AMD BLUES… HAPPY PLACE!!!
We stopped here first night in Nashville & had Brisket as well as pulled pork; both were excelent. we also had fried catfish which i really enjoyed but my wife wanted tarter suace which they did not have. My wife did not enjoy the coleslaw but she is particular about how she wants slaw and usualy NC/TN slaw is not to her liking, so guess who ate the slaw?:) (I liked it) Potato salad was very good. I personally did not like the sweet tea as much as some other places but it was OK. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. The young man that brought our food from the kitchen was very polite and overall I recommend this place if you want good BBQ and to support a local place if you are in the area.
Couldn’t be more disappointed. By far worst BBQ I’ve ever had. Greens tasted putrid and are inedible. Ribs were nearly all fat and completely drenched in grease.Didn’t even receive my beans or Mac n cheese with no substitution.I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Terrific smoked bbq meat without being part of a chain, like so many downtown joints. Uncomplicated food without weird twists and trendy pretentiousness. I had a combo brisket on a bun with meaty pork ribs and doubled up serving of Mac n Cheese. The meat was nicely smoked and not overpowering. You apply the amount of bbq sauce, which I wish more restaurants would adopt. The M&C was nice a cheesy and not overcooked. Papa Turney made his rounds seeing all was well and showed himself to be a great chatty host capping off an already great dining experience. Great live music, beautiful marina setting.
What a great find! I came across this place in my research for our visit to Nashville. It was close to our campground and I loved that it had live music and soulful blues jams. Various multiple musicians took turns together up on stage and played together really well. BBQ was delicious and everyone was super friendly to hang out with. Be sure to check it out, you’ll be glad you did!
This place is a must visit when visiting Nashville. It has an awesome location at Nashville Shores. Papa Mike was walking around introducing himself to everyone new and Mama was taking orders. All of the staff made us feel like family and you could just feel that they all loved their jobs and wanted to make everyone feel like family (which is the theme for the decor along with music). Papa Mike’s band, “Faded Blues”, entertained us with blues music while we ate. The food was delicious and the BBQ is smoked to perfection. The only suggestion I would have would be to switch from styrofoam dishes to paper just due to environmental concerns. Everything was perfection and we were super happy we stopped!
