The hot chicken bun was quite spicy and hot, but too small for the price. It looks like a sandwich on the menu but is only one small piece of chicken in a tiny bun. The chicken gyoza were better, although again pretty expensive for what it was.Service was quick and friendly. Parking was pretty awful but at least they do have a free lot. Don't think I'd return here given how expensive it is for what you get.

This was our first time trying this place(Charlotte Pike) but heard so much about Otaku that we had high expectations. Sadly, it didn't deliver. First, the Ramen, was "lukewarm" and bland (TN tonkatsu) it seemed like leftover broth from yesterday. We also had the New wave w/c was mid. One of my sons really enjoyed the Shoyu Ramen while the other tried the Spicy miso and the only thing it had going for it was the spicy-ness, at almost $20 a bowl, it was truly underwhelming. On the upside, the cashier was friendly and the Tokyo fried chicken was the only thing that wasn't overly disappointing. Even the Gyoza & hot chicken in a bun were average. We'll give the Gulch a try one of these days see if it's any better. At this point, Otaku is way overrated.

One of my favorite ramen spots in Nashville. Very delicious and authentic ramen and really nice employees! Has gotten a little pricey lately. The spicy miso is now $17 plus tax. Also, the spicy miso previously came with kimchi and now does not. To add kimchi it is $2. Seems a little high for just about a tablespoons worth. I understand everything is more with inflation, but paying $19 plus tax for takeout soup is a little painful.

I came in with my wife, 1 and 4 year old wanting to eat in the restaurant. All but a few seats are fixed stools in concrete and all the inside tables are counter height. I asked if I could bring in one of the normal sized outdoor tables and the manager said no, saying “we have a high chair over there.” I explained how the table is about a foot above the high chair and that doesn’t work. There was no one else in there to mess with their ramen vibes or whatever, clearly would rather lose a customer than move a little table inside for 20 minutes to accommodate a family. My baby cried the whole way home because he was hungry, then we were missing $25 of add ons that would have been easy to remedy if we were welcome to eat there. The ramen was good, hospitality was a fail. Also, I don’t think someone in a wheel chair could comfortably eat at those tables.

A quiet, delicious place to sit down and enjoy a wonderful bowl of some really really impressive ramen. The location is wonderful, and the noodles are extremely springy, and delicious. One of the best ramen places in all of TN.

Tried the New Wave Ramen. It was good. Definitely wanting to try the Tonkatsu next time. The Charlotte ave location is definitely suited for an order ahead grab and go vibe.

I normally love this place. I've ordered out from here countless times. But I just picked up an order of 2 tantanmen ramen and they were honestly inedible. The noodles were too thick and chewy, clearly not cooked right (or even made right to begin with). Thr broth... oh the broth. It was both burnt tasting and completely flavorless at the same time. We figured we must have gotten both old noodles and DEFINITELY old broth. This place is usually great, so just a warning- save yourself $30, and try your food before leaving the parking lot.

Ramen was good! A little pricey but that's to be expected in the area. The only thing we were bummed about is we were served dine in, but they gave us paper containers instead of your typical ramen bowl, otherwise I'd say 4 stars.

Pretty disappointed with this place. The service was ok, but the food was terrible. It honestly spoiled mine, my brothers, and my SIL’s tummy. Left a pretty bad taste in our mouth when we left. We had the tantanmen, veggie gyoza, and tofu bun. All mediocre at best.

Loved the Tantanmen Ramen ?. The broth is perfect with the spice and hands down the best ramen I had
