Amazing dining experience! It’s clear that the owner and staff care about this restaurant and it was a joy to dine here. Their small plates are great to share and the menu has something for everyone. I loved their bread and butter, olives, mussels and octopus. The French 75s were delicious as well. Great for vegetarians, pescatarians, and gluten free diets. Perfect spot for a date night, meeting with friends and group dinners
Easter brunch at Miel was absolutely incredible! We brought our kids, not knowing if they would like what was on the menu; and they ate every last bite (and then some - we had to order another croque monsieur at the end of the meal because they loved it that much). We ordered a little bit of everything - our favorites were the “duck duck hash”, shrimp and grits, bread and fermented butter, and the crab cakes. My French 75 cocktail was perfect. Such an incredible meal with amazing service. And I’m so grateful for the policy of vaccinated diners only in the inside area. Thank you for making it such a special day for my family!
Dining at Miel was an incredibly bittersweet experience. Atmosphere and service were absolutely wonderful. T-roy, our server, was exceptional. However, the actual dining experience was far from exceeding our expectations. When we arrived, we were informed we had to show our vaccination cards to dine in. Luckily, everyone in our party was able to get in the door, however this seems like it should be more widely advertised, seeing that others in the reviews also seemed to have this problem.Next, almost every item ordered was underwhelming. We started with bread and butter. Bread was burnt and the butter was boring. This was incredibly upsetting because the butter is an extra 6 dollars, while bread on its own is 2. Then, our entrees came out. We are not unfamiliar with fine dining and its portions, however the trout made all of our jaws drop. It seemed to be a 3 oz piece of fish with five green beans. With the trout being the most expensive item, we expected more. The other entrees were small but decent enough. Finally, we ordered the Profiteroles for dessert, because we were obviously still hungry. Unfortunately, they tasted fresh from the freezer. I think this place has potential, but if we're looking at a price to quality ratio, this establishment is not worth your time.
Was excited to try but thoroughly underwhelmed. Sat outside main dining area in repurposed garage like building. Ambiance and decor was nice. Service was slow tho and we were delayed in being seated despite having a reservation. Ordered from brunch menu “bacon & eggs” pork belly and poached egg. Serving size was quite small, pork belly was really just like regular bacon, not thick cut pork belly like I expected. Poached egg probably sat under warming light too long as the yolk was congealed and not runny. It was disappointing. Also had a potato dauphinoise appetizer that came out lukewarm and left a waxy texture on the roof of your mouth and was very bland. We did not even finish it. “Pele” cocktail was really good. Tried the “Inquisition” which was very sweet and ok but would not order again. Others at table had duck hash which I sampled and it was not bad. Overall disappointed and can’t recommend due to slow service, all food lukewarm, and my plate quite bland and overcooked. Really wanted to like this place but didn’t. We were a group of 6 and our tip was included on our bill so be aware when tipping.
Unfortunately this place is privy only to the customers who align with the restaurants views of jabbing. Anniversary dinner for my wife and me only to be rejected by the hostess for no vaccination. While I am 100% supportive of individual health choices, rights and freedoms, this restaurant does not impose the same values that are advertised in their food and message. Support other restaurants that promoteinclusion and acceptance. This place doesn’t. I would leave a review on the food but didn’t have a chance to taste it since I didn’t get the JAB
Simultaneously spontaneous and genius, Miel combines natural ingredients with a high priority on experience and sustainability. Gastronomic attention aside, the interior offers escape and catharsis for the misfit in all of us. In the modern age, Miel still captures the romance of food, high service, and human connection.
Love this place. In addition to the great good, service, drinks and vibe, it is one of the only places in Nashville observing every piece of covid safety regs and then some. I feel safe going there even during a surge. Thank you Miel
Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place. If you’re not vaccinated they make you sit out in the cold. What a joke. Plenty of true American restaurants to dine with in the area…
The ambiance, the food, the detail, and their enormous effort to make the restaurant a safe and Covid free environment. Everything was delectable. I highly recommend Miel Restaurant! It was a delightful dining experience and birthday memories were made!
Wonderful dinner served outdoors on the open but sheltered patio with heat lamps. Food, cocktails and wine were all incredible, with excellent service. We appreciated the concern for COVID protocols.
