Best place for a cheap drink and great time. Lots of welcoming people to play pool against (only $9 an hour!), as well as Ping Pong, Darts, Foosball, and a TouchTune!

1st time here. What a pretty cool place to have a drink and of course play some pool or ping pong. The drinks are a great price smd the atmosphere is amazing.. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars because of the HVAC ventilation system. It's not the greatest especially if you allow smoking which I think is awesome. Freedom still rings in this country.

The photos of Melrose billiards are not accurate. Maybe they were accurate when it opened but not now. The place is absolutely filthy. There's graffiti all over the walls including x-rated graffiti. it looks like the men and women share a bathroom which is also full of graffiti. This is the nastiest billiard Hall I've ever seen. I walked in, looked around for a minute or two and left. There are much better pool halls around Nashville than this hole.

Neat hometown gem! We were welcomed and they couldn't believe we found them. Definitely not a tourist stop... Just how we like it!!

This is a pretty decent dive that accepts everyone and let's the crowd control the music. Pool, darts, ping pong, shuffleboard, virtual golf, drinks, a bathroom, and even some food.

One of the best pool experiences of my life. Even though I have a hard time with the places that allow smoking inside, everything else made it well worth it. Great prices on both drinks and pool and everyone is very friendly. Incredible atmosphere which is why I chose this place over any other local options. A long wait for a table but this was on a Saturday night and I can't leave a bad review for that. Incredible place.

We decided to go check out Melrose Billiard solely based on their website. And the description was spot on. The bartender’s where very nice. The drinks were cheap as advertised on the website. We went on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. The pool tables are rented out by the hour and where in really good condition. If you like to shoot billiards and hang out in a dive bare this is most certain all the spot to check out.

My boyfriend and I went for the first time last night to play pool. When we got there, one table appeared open. We picked up the pool sticks and a guy rushes over to tell us that it’s his table and we needed to go to the bar to reserve a table. We were number 10 on the waiting list. Luckily, we could play ping pong and shuffle board as we waited. 40 minutes later, we noticed that the same pool table was still vacant. Then, the guy came over and started playing alone until his guests finally showed up an hour later. We went back to the bar to find out that we had moved up to 8 on the waiting list. We asked how long people could play and we were told people could play “ as long as they wanted”. An hour later, we were #6 on the list. We had spent nearly 4 hours at Melrose Billiards and never got a chance to play pool. Unless management rethinks this policy and implements a stricter policy with time limits to be fair to everyone, we probably won’t be back.

Use to be better back in the day. It's cool but lost the vibe it use to have. That happens sometimes when places renovate. Oh well still fun!

For me it was exactly what I love about a billiards and more. It is place for adults as they do allow smoking and have an open bar. You can also play other games aside from billiards. But you will have to check it out for yourself.
