I was in Nashvegas on July27 through the 29th. I always stay at the Homewood Suites across the street from Vanderbilt. Martin's is right behind the hotel and I simply can not resist walking over for a bite of hog. Had plenty! And, I also had the smoked turkey plate. Yummmmmmmmmmm. The night I got into town I ate at the hotel and then went to Martin's for THE pecan pie. So good. A lady staying at the hotel walked over with me and had the big salad with the turkey on it. She got totally OMG, saying that she could not believe it was turkey and was The Best she had ever eaten.
Would highly recommend this BBQ to anyone. The atmosphere is ok for children until about 6:30pm. Going back to Nashville in a few months and will stop by again.
Conveniently located across from The Hampton Inn. I liked being able to pop in for dinner after sight seeing all day - around 8pm. Delicious and the service was friendly and anticipatory.
Great BBQ - Brisket tacos and BBQ Nachos were perfect!
Heard plenty of good things about this place and saw it on DDD, but was pretty underwhelmed. My catfish sandwich was great, but the BBQ pork nachos we split were average at best. The cheese was too runny when they put it on the nachos, so it all ran off the chips and coagulated under and around them instead. There was also way too much coleslaw compared to pork meat. The only BBQ sauce they had was super thin too, so it also just ran right off the chips and puddled underneath them.
A bit over hyped. Bbq nachos were decent but all the queso fell through to the bottom. Their bbq sauce is too thin as well. Hoecake and brisket were good. Most bbq places have multiple sauces and with just the one watery one that was disappointing. Overall decent meal but nothing special.
Brisket was tender, and delicious. Absolutely incredible. Don’t count out the fried Bologna sandwich though. Smoked and cut super thick. Mac&cheese and fries were also pretty great! Everyone was super nice and helpful.
We came in for dinner and enjoyed some drinks. The staff here really made the place, they were attentive and friendly. We ordered the kid Brother and shared it along with a couple of cocktails. I would come here again if I was in the area, it was a lot of food for us to share.

The food was the highlight. Everything was amazingly good and the brisket melted in our mouth. I definitely recommend this joint to anyone looking for a spectacular BBQ joint. ?
