I visited this place during my stay in Nashville because of the late great Anthony Bourdain and I must say this place is absolutely amazing. Their food is authentic and so so good. If you find yourself in Nashville, this is a must stop!! You'll love it!
Absolutely loved this place and found out about it by watching an Anthony Bourdain travel doco. We were delighted with the service and food and it was extremely reasonable as Nashville is super expensive. The fried chicken beans and turnip greens were sensational. Very happy foodies. We went about 1120am and it started to get busy with all the 'tradies' taking an early lunch. It's only open from 1030pm to 2pm but was probably the best meal we had in Nashville.
Went there with a few friends trying to avoid the crowds of CMA. We were all positively surprised. Sure the mac&cheese side was powdered based but haven't we all had this at home? I felt like it was "moms' food" and we really enjoyed all of our various choices. The staff was very friendly as well despite the long queue they had to take care of. Highly recommended for anyone that wants to enjoy a simple lunch near Nashville city center.
Good soul food. Black owned business in this growing city of Nashville. Great customer service. The food line moved very quickly for lunch time. Don't let the tricky parking keep you away.
We love this place. The meat items and sides change everyday. The ribs turkey and meatloaf all amazing. The Mac and choose and corn biscuits rock. We will go back before we head home.
So this was my friend and I first meat and three experience and did we pick the right place. Everyone working there was so kind including the owner. I really felt welcome and the food was so good. The banana pudding was amazing. We went to Arnold’s later in the trip and it just didn’t have that warmth that Dandgure’s had. I hope to return and will send my friends here.
