My partner and I went to Lou for our anniversary. After a decade in fine dining, I've never ever called a restaurant to give them feedback and ask for a refund because restaurants are always doing the best they can. This food was...so bad. We received an unsalted ricotta with no bread, soggy corn, overcooked lamb chop, and the worst was the crudo that had clearly been marinating all day and had the consistency of a mealy apple. Our waiter was in the weeds, and we thought, course after course, that it HAD to get better. But, it wasn't. It's shocking that they could sell food at this price point. By the end of the night, the only thing we could talk about was the coffee and butter. We just had a gross feeling like we burned $200 on an unacceptable culinary standard. When talking to the manager, we received a robotic response that if we had sent it back in the moment they would have taken care of it. And, she would like to invite us back to pay for yet another meal? Totally tone deaf and seemed to not care at all. If this had happened at my old restaurant, the guests would be comped, the kitchen would be reviewed, and we would aggressively work to improve whatever was falling short. I get that the customer isn't always right, and service is dependent on factors out of a waiters hands, but this was an actually food quality issue. Maybe this is a cultural standard and Nashville has a lower standard of upscale dining? This would never fly in Chicago or Boston. What a bummer.

Unmatched ambiance. The music, service, vibe - made for a quaint, cozy, romantic, yet elevated experience! This is a place for wine lovers. Only critique is that some of the flavors were overpowering, vs complimentary. The duck was dry and there was no Szechuan flavor to be tasted. The crudo was too sweet to allow for the flavor of the fish to shine.

Cute, cozy, eclectic and perfectly vintage vibe. Delish. We topped off the night with wine and dessert.

This place is incredible; seriously have not had one dish from there we didn’t absolutely love. Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable- take their recommendations if they suggest a dish. They have never steered me wrong. Wines are unique, fun, and not the same old Cab Sav BS. Their pastry chef is a Goddess and every dessert/pastry we’ve had has been a religious experience. Would give 100 stars if I could.

Yummy apps and interesting Spanish,Italian & French wines ..tables very small, patio closed due to rain. 7 total tables inside. Very loud restaurant and a little hot and stuffy. Nice service and nice tastes of interesting things like kale and Hamachi

Lou Nashville is a cute little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and very good service. Their food uses a creative blend of ingredients, but has not quite nailed the balance. We had brunch and the hash and breakfast sandwich were good, but just lacked that WOW factor. The dishes are just missing the elevated palate and preparation of restaurants like ETC. I love the risks they take and found the food, as I said, solid, but it could be so much more.

Amazing little cafe and a welcomed respite for foodies. Atmosphere, service, food and wine selection were all fantastic. The building is super sweet and truly feels like home with indoor dining and an outdoor back patio option. We started with the charcuterie and bread. The bread with burnt honey butter was phenomenal and a must have. House made pickled and fermented veggies perfectly complimented the meat and cheese selections. We sampled and chose a light and delightful red wine that paired perfectly with the whole fish entree. Dessert was delicious as well. The bergamot and creme fraiche tart is a nice alternative to a traditional key lime pie. The menu is meant to be shared so I recommend ordering a few items from each section for the table. Our waitress made excellent recommendations and we truly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Highly recommend if you are looking for something near The Gaylord.

Brunch is their specialty! The service was so energetic, bubbly and nice. The food was delicious and healthy options available. We loved sitting outside with heaters too. A really great find! But they need to make more obvious signs because you can drive past it easily. And parking should be more obvious too. Definitely go here!

My husband and I went to Lou for dinner. I made reservations in advance. The atmosphere was a bit dark and it was a bit loud. However, those patio spots go quickly. We had the Cripsy Rice, Farro and Mushrooms, Braised Lamb, and Trout. Our main waitress was great, she provided wonderful knowledge about the menu and drink selection. She even helped us close off the vent that was under our table. I had a dress on and it was freezing. When all of our plates came out, it was a bit too much for the two top were seated at, especially with the trout. The Farro and Mushrooms and Braised Lamb had excellent flavor. Only the presentation side of the Trout was seasoned and it was whole. My husband is not from the country side and does not have a lot of experience with bone in fish. The trout was very frustrated with the experience for him. I thought the presentation side with the sauce and crust was wonderful. But for the price, I'm eating both sides! The Crispy Rice simply lacked flavor. The menu said it had saffron, but I could not taste much from this dish. I had a similar dish at Lyra before and it had a yogurt sauce on it that was delicious. When our food was brought out, I would have loved if they would have gone over the dish again. I really like to think about the ingredients while I eat. With the food we ordered, I thought the serving sizes were appropriate. I was full at the end.

Top notch, ordered most of the menu and have no complaints. Service was excellent. 4 stars is a great review, I highly recommend this place. Sorry about the bad photography.
