I love going to The Listening Room. I have been there more times than I can count. You get to eat food and drink while listening to song writers talk about the songs they have written and the artists that sing them. They then perform the song for you. Its a very personal experience because of the small venue. You sit right next to the stage. It is similar to the Blue Bird Cafe but a little bigger venue. The staff has always been helpful and provide great service. The tickets are very reasonable. You easily reach the minimum with food and drinks. They also have valet parking which is nice. I highly recommend you try this place if you have never been, you will not be disappointed.

This was our first stop when we arrived in Nashville. Loved the atmosphere! Intimate seating, focus was on the music, not the drinks. Food was good. Had the fried pickles and smashburger. Staff was on point! If we could have gotten tickets for the following day shows, we would have returned! If you’re looking for something less bar and more music, this is your place.

Not only did The Listening Room accommodate a group of 10 of us after I booked the wrong day for my cousins bachelorette but Caitlin our bartender sealed the night and made it extra special. This is my second time and I’ll never stop coming back. You guys are the best and we love The Shady Brothers!

Such a fun place for an evening of food and entertainment. And reasonably priced!! We saw the Song Suffragettes at the 6pm show. Good music, laughter and dinner was pretty good too. Great service. Go early to pick the best seats. We liked the high top tables by the bar. You can easily see the stage and have a bit of breathing room.

Amazing place! This is exactly what I was hoping to find in Nashville. I love country music and when I got on to Broadway I realised very quickly it was more about the alcohol than the music. I found this place after speaking to a local and I’m so glad I did. We went on a Monday and saw the Song Suffragettes. For a really reasonable ticket price you get dinner and a show where you are actively encouraged to just sit and listen. The music and artists were incredible, good food and good service. This is a true gem and was the highlight of my trip.

Did a 6:00 show with a group of 4. 3 musicians in a round, each acoustically doing their set. Very intimate setting getting to hear the songwriters sing their own songs. There was a $10 cover charge and you have to spend $15/person minimum on top of that in drinks or food. The drinks were good. On the food we got 2 smashburgers, chicken fingers and dry rub 1/2 chicken. None of them were that great, not bad, just nothing special. Set ended about 1:20 in, then you need to quickly exit so they can set up for the next set. Overall, very enjoyable!

This was a great evening. Great music and a great atmosphere. A must do when you are in Nashville.

Recommended to us by locals after we couldn't get a seat at the Bluebird Cafe, TLR was a perfect Nashville experience. The night we went featured four up and coming singer-songwriters who took turns presenting their songs. We expected maybe one or two of them to be decent but all four ended up being exceptional. The level of talent was amazing and we would not be surprised if some of what we heard ends up as hits. The venue is great for hearing music, the crowd was mellow and appreciative, and the food was unexpectedly good. Service was fast and friendly. The main draw here is the music experience but nice that you can get a meal and drinks that show someone in the kitchen cares. (Pork BBQ was really good but avoid the turkey). Our hard to please teen daughter had a great time as well.

Great way to experience live music and take a break from the crowds on Broadway. Great service, plenty of room. We saw Alyssa Jacey who is an inspiring solo artist. She really connects with the audience in a very sweet, personal way. We talked with her for a bit after her performance and she is just a very easy, warm person to talk to with a great voice. If you have kids and are visiting Nashville, I highly recommend!

The food was ok, but that wasn't why we went. We wanted a live music experience in Nashville that didn't involve cover bands. This was outstanding! The night we went had four incredibly talented songwriters and recording artists: Alex Hall, Josh Jenkins, John Hutchinson and Travis Wood. Without question this evening was one of the BEST live music experiences in my life. We went back for a second night a few days later. If you're in Nashville, you cannot miss The Listening Room.
