I have been to many Thai restaurants in Nashville and lao Thai takes the cake! Authentic Thai and Laos food! Love the papaya salad and the pho is on point! Today I had the Tom kha Gai and papaya salad with sticky rice --Such large servings, friendly service and pretty affordable prices. ?
What a pleasure to find an authentic restaurant in a super market. Great flavor and taste
Hands down still my favorite Laos and Thai restaurant . I have been going here for years since I moved to Nashville and now that I moved up to Clarksville I can’t seem to find one that hits my taste buds right. Been craving the Larb and Papaya salad so much I took a trip down to just have a to go order. I had almost everything in the menu in the past and if I could I would order everything ?. I especially love the grab and go section for food so I would go in and grab the little bits of food to take home from work.
My mom & I ate there for the 1st time yesterday. Everything we had was delicious: spring rolls, short ribs, fried rice and a noodle/egg dish. The waitress was helpful in making my meal selection & very nice. We also ventured into the store & found some yummy desert items. We will definitely be returning to King Market!
I didn't expect a sit down Lao restaurant in Nashville, but was happy to see the set up and appreciated it. The workers were super nice. We have never been here before and ordered multiple dishes to try out. We got the lao sausage, ribs, long bean salad, fried chicken, green curry, chicken laap, kao soi. The food was pretty authentic & tasty which explains why they have so many awards hanging on their wall.
My review is based on the food compared to home cooking food. I come from a Laotion household and in Nashville for work. Been craving some home cooking food and my cousin had a friend who lived in Nashville and suggested this place if I wanted something home cooking. It's a hidden gem one might say. Combination of grocery store and a restaurant. So for myself this is a great one stop shop and eat if hungry. I stopped in for a late lunch/ early dinner on Sunday. I was craving a bowl of Pho. I was not disappointed at all. The bowl was huge just what "mom" serves at her house. It was a big portion, my eyes was more hungry than what my stomach could handle... The taste was perfect and authentic to what I grew up eating and still get. The price is more than reasonable for the size you get. I ordered the King sausage which was very good and exactly how home made Lao sausage should taste. Had the Laab Chicken, very good also and hit the spot. Then had papaya salad which was very tasty and spicy the way it should be(I did get hot version). There is a lot of different dishes to choose from. There is dishes that are common and then you have your traditional Lao dishes to choose from.I definitely recommend that if you haven't had Lao food before and want to try something different, this is a great place to try out. Dine in or do carry out. They also serve some Thai dishes if anyone looking for a taste of Thai food. I recommend dine in if it's your first time, because it's better served fresh and brought out to you.If I'm still working out this way, I definitely will be coming back if crave some authentic Lao food.
The staff in the little cafe were SO friendly. They were working their butts off so you guys tip them well please. The Pho was sooooo good and hot for a cold day. We really enjoyed this place and will come back!
Okay I am a little bit of a Pho fanatic...this place has the best Pho I have had in Nashville! I had no idea I had been driving by this place and settling for less. I will never go to any other place in Antioch again. The awards that line the walls I am certain were well deserved. I am excited to try another dish from there as well.
Amazingly good food, full of flavor, and a full complement of condiments on the table to let you add additional flavorings from fish sauce to hoisin sauce to ground chili peppers, and chili oil.
Amazing food, authentic flavours and very good service. We got the fried tilapia, fried noodles with chicken and fried rice the food was very good. When coming here keep in mind this place closes at 7:30 (we did not know) it’s a small cafe in the grocery store hence limited seating just keep in mind.
