What has happened to Jimmy Kellyâs? Was celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary, I was surprised how bad things were. To say the experience was bad is an understatement. Waited an excessive time before a waiter appeared. The table across from us , which was there first time, indicated they had been seated 25 minutes and still had not seen a menu yet. They received their menu the same time we did and then the waiter tried to explain the specials to both tables at the same time. Everything was delayed. We received water, ordered cocktails, was told that corn cakes were coming soon three times. After we order our cocktails the corn cakes finally showed up. Since it was special occasion, we tried to ignore the delays. I order a medium well filet and twice baked potato. When my meal arrived I was told they were out of twice baked potato, which was odd for a 7 pm reservation, and was substituted with bake potato without ever asking my preference. My filet had been butterflied and cooked so well it looked like a hockey puck. The waiter indicated the kitchen would prepare another which I requested to be cooked medium since the kitchen surely liked to over cook things. My wife meal was ok but was provided no butter for her baked potato which was the only ingredient requested. I had to located Jeff, the manager, to request butter for the table since the waiter failed to arrive with any. After that wait, cold butter and a cold bake potato does not blend well. Once my wife finished her meal, my meal arrived which was nothing to brag about for the prices they charge. We still tried to make the best of the evening so we order dessert and coffee and when the coffee arrived the waiter inquired if the coffee was hot enough, which it was not but we were ready for this to end and we said it was ok, which was a stretch. Our evening cannot be only blamed on the waiter. Management should be aware of the work load of waiters and the kitchen for the food.

We had the "absent- minded" waitress,she for got our menus,three times, that's 3THREE times.left out our hoe cakes,too.Steak was cooked perfectly,but NO seasoning,NO SALT,NO PEPPER,nothing.Ordered dessert,but brought us NO silverware.I guess we all could have had the cheesecake with our hands,ya know finger-food.It was a bad meal/experience,to say the least.
Our server was fine, the food and the pricing was way more expensive than what you get a High end facility should be able to have more than 4 bad salad dressing choices, when you order medium well I expect very little pink not very little dark. The twice baked potatoes and the cornbread disks were fantastic, I've had 5 times better steaks at just a regular chain steakhouse for far less money.
Jimmy Kelly's was fantastic as always! Great steaks and potatoes! Of course, the best part for my wife and I are the corn cakes!! The waiter was was also top notch! We will return there for sure!
We must have had a new female server. Service was terrible. We never complained, because we just hoped it would get better. Our food was not hot. It had to have been sitting a long time. Took 20 min to get a glass of wine. She had forgotten . We had to ask for everything including refills of tea. We gave her cash and a $200 gift card. She asked if we wanted the cash taken off first, then the card. No! It was our Anniversary. Not sure if we will come back.
We always request to sit upstairs with Claude. He is the best waiter. Very entertaining.
We've been to this restaurant three times, and this last time was subpar. Our steaks were overcooked and dry (we had three steaks in our party). My son's cheeseburger was also overcooked and dry. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.
